In terms of plot etc, where do you think they could go in terms of the next movie? If they are to make one, it’s going to be a HUGE challenge for it to not be “more of the same” if it is a reboot. Why? Because factors such as the military, governments reaction to Transformers, Autobots arriving to earth would have to be incorporated AGAIN, something we have already seen BEFORE. Wouldn’t this make for a REPETITIVE movie we’ve already seen in 2007 if it was to be rebooted, even if there is chances to incorporate new ideas like new designs?

That's why you continue with Bumblebee and make a sequel to that. Bumblebee had taken care all of the things you mentioned and in turn, they can actually focus on the new things. You're assuming the military has to play a huge part in this. They don't. Of course they'll have to present somehow, however, just don't focus on them like the Bayverse films had.

They'll just have to make sure they make it clear it's in a different continuity from the Bayverse. Having a unfrozen Megatron and characters that look like themselves would help. Making it take place in '80s or '90' would aid in that also as so you'd receive a larger variety of vehicles that differ from the Bayverse.

If you read the thread title, I’m asking people what they think, THE NEXT BIG TRANSFORMERS SHOULD BE, NOT pitches for a BUMBLEBEE SEQUEL.

What? The next big Transformers film could easily be in the same timeline as Bumblebee. A sequel to Bumblebee doesn't necessarily imply Bumblebee 2. You could call it Transformers, the Optimus Prime film, whatever you want—it's just whatever comes next in the timeline.

What if the next movie Unicron destroys earth? Primus then tells Optimus to travel to the planet Quintessa in search of a weapon to defeat Unicron before it does more harm to the universe.

The next big Transformers movie could take place in the same timeline as Bumblebee. In fact it most likely will. As Music mentioned Bumblebee 2 or an Optimus Prime film could also be a big Transformers film.

A sequel to the Last Knight is not being made. Nice idea but there will be no sequel.

What I mean is if there was another movie that was just called Transformers, not based on mainly Optimus or bumblebee.

if paramount wants to do more spotlight stories it would be cool for an anthology film that consisted of 20-30 minute stories

With a film like that, wouldn’t it be easier to animate it instead of live action and release it straight to Bluray? Just like those Shrek and Madagascar short story films?

Introduce Overlord as main villain. With MegaZarak as 2nd command, Thunder Cracker and Astrotrain as their subordinate. Introduce Decepticons Titan - Tidal Wave and Combaticons (Bruticus when combine). This will be my dream Decepticons team. For Autobots, we need Optimus, Jetfire (not the old guy in ROTF, but the Macross looking one), Bumblebee, Aerial Bots (Form Superion), Jolt, Sideswipe, Iron Hide, Sky Hammer and Inferno will be enough. No more human face looking robots and complicated storyline that got so many bullshit history..Focus more on Robots personalities, unique weaponry and makes Decepticons hard to defeat.. Creative action battle sequences like in TF1 and Universal ride...70 percent focus on Robots and 30 percent Human..

I'd pass the next six or seven years with a couple sequels to "Bumblebee", and THEN get back to a full-scale TF movie, Combiner War (note the singular, to distinguish from the recent comic arc/toyline/animation): the first half borrowing from "The Key To Vector Sigma" and throwing in a dash of Animated as the 'Bots are sent on the run after a group of lookalikes show up and go on a murderous rampage; and the the second half goes into "Starscream's Brigade" mode laced with bits of the latter portions of "Infiltration" and "All Hail Megatron" as a power struggle finally erupts between Megatron and Starscream.

As far as the human cast goes, I'd probably have new human characters in each movie with the exception of Burns and/or any other S7 agents, just to keep things somewhat fresh.

Bumblebee was a mess. The whole idea of movies centered around one character is stupid asf. Perhaps a reimagining, not a remake, of the '86 movie would work, a good version of it. New cast, no human action, stronger characters, etc. No rock.
Or maybe keep pumping the toyline or jump to video games or something, Ihdk

That would make a great videogame

I'm seeing Bumblebee as a starting point, a simple story that introduces us to the Knightverse. As we continue, we could have spin-offs of one sort or another that further expand the universe and which may eventually lead to the 'Big Transformers Movie' mentioned in the title of this thread.

Right now, though, I don't care about a 'Big Transformers Movie'. I just want a series of good Transformers movies.

That foot really is magnetically attracted to your mouth given solo Transformers stories hardly are a new concept in this franchise. We used to have spotlight stories in the comics for years and Drift himself got his own origin mini-series.

A little research into the history of the franchise and where it's been before you essentially start talking trash about rather significant bits of franchise media wouldn't hurt.
