Okay, technically fanfic ideas can fall under Creative Discussion, ya? Anyway, I want to show off some upcoming elements from the story as well as bits and pieces from the sequels. Yes, plural. -Icepick plays some important roles later on, and her dynamic with Arcee will mirror Sly Cooper and the Panda King in Sly 3 -Ishmael's name is meaningful; his first and last names are Ishmael Rappaport, meaning "God Hears (or listens?), Raven's Port." This shows where his competency zone is; aquatic combat and urban warfare. The former bit? That's a secret -A Thousand Lies' epilogue sends off two more stories; one is the actual Rosario+Vampire story with Ishmael and Arcee added in. The second is Magnus having to round up a crapload of Autobots and bring them to Terra. The catalyst that links both? The Forge. A key arc in the R+V focused story is why Youkai (and other mythological beings) give off energon signatures. This plays a key part in several off the rails moments. -For anyone who noticed the reference to Turians, that isn't Ishmael knowing about Mass Effect; the fan 'verse crossover is Transformers/Rosario+Vampire/Mass Effect. -Carrying on, Metroplex and the Metrotitans were built to fight the Reapers, who are now agents of Unicron, albeit corrupted from their original purpose -At least five of the Azumanga Daioh characters will appear in the R+V story, but as Youkai (so far, one's a Dullahan, one's a Lamia, and the other three are unknown) -At some point, either a Dweller/Driller fusion or a horde of Insecticons WILL appear on Earth -Back to A Thousand Lies: Ishmael's going to lose an eye and both arms. Not going to be pretty, and his mechanical replacements will be a minor plot point later on. -Arcee looks a lot like Sailor Pluto, but with black hair with streaks of purple, pink and blue -Some of the better elements from Revenge of the Fallen will appear (such as the ruins) -Samara form Mass Effect will have a minor role in the connecting one-shot between A Thousand Lies and its sequels -The three OC Transformers I want to include are: Turbocharger, a tactician with Trust Issues Sparkler, his twin sister who's stuck as a child in the mind (hence the name). Mostly a dancer/entertainer, since she's crap at actual combat Thundertazten, a dachshund maximal sapper. Colors are Reddish Brown coat with Blue and White as the robot mode colors -Finally, Hound's Team: Hound, Sideswipe, Cliffjumper, and the Protectobots. So far, the five are: An Airport Crash Tender (Flashpoint/Hot Spot), a Mercedes-Benz C-Class Interceptor (Streetwise), a Mountain Police Jeep (Groove), a Eurocopter Dauphin (Blades), and a GMC TopKick Ambulance (First Aid) I'll be answering questions about the stories as they pop up; but this is a lot of what I've mapped out so far for the near future.
A bit of a preview for Chapter Four: Guard duty; demeaning at times, nowhere near as fun as prisoner handling, but it had its merits. Still, at least this post was warm and well-lit. However, some areas the fog-and-spotlights couldn’t reach, such as some of the alleys. Like the one I was walking by. I never knew what hit me. Jolt finished driving over the careless guard. The lines had been cut so that the plant solely powered the base. Thankfully their lights couldn’t see the alleys well. Gunning for a checkpoint with what appeared to be the main maintenance entrance behind it, Jolt aimed for the building, not the gate; Cybertronian Armor was meant to survive basic materials like this. The guards, even if they gave off Energon signatures, weren’t. After pulping the guard and smashing the gatehouse, Jolt slowed to a stop, waiting for the Mercenaries to surround him. Cueing up the holo-avatar Ishmael helped him create, Jolt decided to screw with these guys. Surrounding the hybrid, we prepared to execute the driver and then destroy it. Aiming my rifle at the window, I ordered the driver to lower it. As she did, I was shocked to see a black male. Clearly we weren’t thorough enough. Rapidly shooting him in the head, I was surprised to see the bullet just go through and embed itself into the seat beside him. “Now that wasn’t nice. Guess you need a lesson.” Jolt ditched his alternate mode; flaring his doors, he decapitated the guard who shot his seat, and bisected a few others. The guards took steps back before attacking him with rifles. The bullets just bounced off his armored skin, and as he finished his conversion, he fired off lightning bolts at anyone who had weapons capable of harming him. Flexing his arms and wings, he roared to the sky, firing bolt after bolt at the power plant… Yeah, Jolt flips out. Also; meteors
Okay, so now that I'm working on the second act, I'll spill more info: -Hoist looks similar to DOTM Leadfoot, but as a truck and with the High Moon Style -Hardhead turns into a Predator Tank from Command and Conquer with a Riot Cannon as the main gun -At the end of the story, two more R+V characters will appear in a scene similar to the Avengers' after-credits ending -I will be tying the power paying the Mercenaries' payroll into later developments -There will be mentioning of more than one alternate Autobot logo (so far, we've got the Blue Wreckers logo, the LSC Logo, and one that's white) Also, this thread is a bit experimental; I don't think anyone's posted a thread on the creative discussion of a fanfic before.

Okay, you're probably right. But still, you'd think that in addition to Fan Art and Customs, we'd have a Fan Fiction tag as well. Ah well, just means that I wound up going left field on here for once.
Okay, so since some non-TFW people have given some feedback for the story, I've come up with a one-shot detailing why Ishmael doesn't mention his family. It'll be named after the Hollywood Undead song Bullet.
Not for A Thousand Lies. But since one of the stories that I'll work on after A Thousand Lies is Fall of Cybertron, we'll see more Autobots and Decepticons before resuming the action.
Chapter 5 tidbit Unused Room, Fort Hope: “Okay, so Arcee wants me to dump my backstory on you. Ain’t she the sweetest?” Tsurara found that Ishmael could be mocking and bitter on personal subjects. He was currently; curled up in some crates, looking forlorn at something from his past. “She cares, and probably sees something in us both. So, please tell me.” “Okay, so when I joined, I had to cut ties with my family. The main issue is that I was adrift, and in a teenage rebellion type phase. Thing is, even in that kind of haze, I loved, and still love, my family. So when I had to cut ties, I did something that though I don’t regret, was something they never should’ve gone through.” Nodding slowly, Tsurara braced for something such as him getting arrested. “No family should ever have their children predecease them. After faking my death I attended my ‘Funeral’. I swear, my dad looked older than my grandfathers did, and mother? She was broken inside. Even if we drove each other up the walls due to being unable to see eye-to-eye, she never-they all didn’t-expect me to be the one to snap and kill myself.” One heavy thud later, Tsurara was also lying in crates. “You faked your DEATH!? You can’t be older than 16!” “15 actually. Yeah, it was rough, and even though I don’t regret it; I did it to protect them, I still hope to re-contact them someday.” So, Ishmael had faked his death to join the Autobots? Kid seemed to be tougher than he looked. “Arcee calls me one of the most dedicated organic members, and with good reason. Apparently I not only cut ties, but have also proven to be ‘resourceful’ and use the local myths to sift through what is Cybertronian in nature and what isn’t. So, though I’m not as tough as them, due to being smaller than them, a local on the cosmic scale, and having interests that benefit them, I have my uses.” The how and why he did it will be expanded upon in a one-shot. Bit of a twist, isn't it?
