Just like Batman: TAS changed the origin story for Mr. Freeze in nearly every story that came after, what changes to characters in Transformers have become so popular that that specific trait should be carried over into all new versions of the character? (Like Barricade as a police car, or Wreck-Gar as a garbage truck, and hopefully Wheelie being more like the movies than G1).

 

Basically everything in the aligned continuity. Megatron being a miner turned revolutionary turned wanna be dictator. Orion joining him, becoming Optimus. The 13 Primes with Alpha Trion being one. Unicron.

Then you've got stuff from IDW where even more stuff will likely become canon like creation types and polarity.

 

I'd like to see future Arcees have elements of Prime Arcee along with future Blitzwing have elements from Animated Blitzwing,Whirl from IDW just to name a few.

 

Blackout being a huge Con,and turns into a helicopter.

 

If you're trying to imply that I was claiming the aligned continuity created Unicron, that isn't what I was claiming. I was stating Unicron being solidified as the Cybertronian devil and his history and blah blah blah. I wasn't claiming that was his first appearance; just the core concepts being locked down.

And if that isn't what you are trying to imply, then perhaps you should actually state what you are trying to say rather than just post a picture as a response....

 

I think it's the fact that you misspelled canon as cannon.

One of the biggest changes is Bumblebee becoming a formidable warrior instead of the kid friendly little guy.

 

Does Prime Shockwave saying logical in every sentence count?

 

Aren't Prowl and Jazz ninjas now? Also, Sideswipe without Sunstreaker seems to be the norm nowadays.

 

Orion Pax and Megatronus starting off as friends and then becoming the epitome of good vs evil.

 

And having a damaged voice-box.

 

Optimus going from a cab-over to a long-nosed truck.

Megatron having an aerial mode.

The appearance of the Allspark as the Transformers aftelife/heaven.

 

Ratchet as an older and more experienced/grumpy member of an Autobot cast.

Bulkhead as a big green truck/ a tough guy with a heart of gold. Not quite the same as his original incarnation in Energon, ho ho.

 

By far, one of the greatest changes is the concept of the Spark from Beast Wars.

 

From the point of the universes as a whole, additions of new characters in general should count as changes, especially if they are retroactively fit in to for example IDWverse and WFC. Like Lugnut and Lockdown from Animated. And, depending on if we think they are the same characters as those who first carried their names, Bulkhead and Slipstream from Animated. Maybe Thundertron and Predaking returns as leaders for new factions? With Predaking replacing his namesake combiner as the ultimate carrier of that name? I think he should be called Dragotron, though, as in Transformers GO!

Megatron, Dragotron and Thundertron. Sounds right, doesn´t it?  

 

I hope not. Prime Predaking has brought honor to the Predaking name, but he's not a replacement. If his character is going to appear in future constitutes, he'l needs a new name... but something better than Dragotron. I personally find it lazy and uninteresting. Almost every Transformer has a meaningful name, yes, but they rarely use any imaginary words.

 

How is "Dragotron" more imaginary and lazy than "Predaking"? "Drago" is Italian for "dragon", and his alt mode is a dragon. "Preda" alone is just a suffix, and bulls and rhinos are not even predators.

Also, I like the idea that both the Decepticons, Predacons (the Prime faction, they might need to change name too if they stick around) and the Star Seekers would have a "-tron" for a leader.  

Not the point really, but I find it a bit comical that someone with the nick "Dragonzzilla" finds "Dragotron" a bad name
