I would really like WFC to tie together with Prime and the m-verse

I didn't even give it a remote possibility until the news bit about Bumblebee's voice in Exodus. Just on a cosmetic level it makes no sense. WFC clearly look like "G1".

But I was thinking about this during my bike commute this morning. WFC takes place early in the war. Everyone still looks youthful, vibrant, and whole. It's not implausible to think that during millions of our Earth years of war, the ones that survive go through massive amounts of damage, repairs, upgrades, and indeed even downgrades. There's only so much material to go around in a time of war. Hence the change from the relatively peaceful boxy look of WFC, to the battle hardened alien skeletal look of the m-verse.

I don't deny it's a stretch, but if a single continuity is to be Hasbro's plan, I give them heaping praise for finally bringing some order to such a deeply chaotic property.

Light your torches and commence the outrage. :D

I'd hope they could build one line of continuity (and didn't they say they wanted to do that anyway? o_O ) but I don't think WfC -> Prime is going to be it. Shame.

No. IMO, I think it's best that War For Cybertron be its own continuity.

I'd personally rather it be in its own continuity, or the prequel to TF: Prime.

Fanboys will explode in rage should WFC tie into TF Prime. Especially if Prime ends up with even more movieverse influences in it.

Hmm, I hope it does too. :)

I would really like WFC to tie into the Japanese cartoons, but if wishes were fishes we'd all have a fry.

I think it highly unlikely there will be a tie-in. Influences, most certainly, but probably not a direct relationship.

How about we just keep it to just tie in with G1 and leave it at that.
Leave Transformers: Prime to explaining the movie-verse story.... Thank you.... =-)

I want WFC to just stand alone, with nothing attached to it. Is that too much to ask?

I'm with Split Lip on this.

War For Cybertron is more connected to G1 than Bayformers and I prefer it that way. It's it's own thing where it can stand alone inspired by the G1 cartoon and not retconned to crap through linking it to something unrelated.

Yes. There's no reason for something that awesome to not be canon.

You use "canon" as a term, as if there was some unified TF continuity. Hate to break it to you, but technically, EVERYTHING Hasbro has ever officially sanctioned in terms of tie-in media is 'canon'.

AND GET YOUR ANGRY MOB ON!!! :D

That'd actually be a very good explanation for the difference between WFC and Movies. :thumbs2:  I like that idea.

But for now, I'm considering WFC to be the basic back story for the continuities. They're always the same anyway - robots in war drain their planet dry and they leave. But in technical terms, WFC can be whatever. It works as a prequel to almost every continuity.

I want Prime to be its' own continuity, not a sequel or prequel or whatever to whatever. Just a brand new rebrand/reboot.

It still can be canon, just a separate continuity. Does Beast Wars tie into Energon?

This! let the movie be its own continuity and let Prime be its own as well , even if its movie inspired in its designs.

It really can't be part of the movie-verse, unless there are two guys named Jetfire, because the Jetfire in the game is obviously based on the g1 character, not a old curmudgeon like movie Jetfire.

With all the comics and other media out there that fleshes out the movieverse, for WFC to be in continuity with it would be absurd.

Yeah. This game looks too good to be attached to most tfs continuties wich are pretty mediocrre most of the time.

Edit: and before you guys decide to jump on me. Energon was medicrore, G1 was mediocre, the Movies are medicroe, Armada was mediocrre, etc etc..

And I still think there are waay to many inconsisties (Dead End, Aeribalbolts, Arceee, Trytpitcon), to link this game to cartoon G1. Now the G1 comics Marvel or IDW are another matter.
