Maybe super unpopular opinion, but maybe he can come back after the Optimus Prime movie and finish the sequel for The Last Knight? Him and Ehren Kruger seems to work best so I'm all for it.

And risk Lorenzo authorizing the creation of another Franken-movie? No thank you. The main plot of The Last Knight (Optimus getting brainwashed and turned into the main antagonist with Quintessa as the brainwasher, and the Decepticons acting as the stalking horse) is salvageable, with a lot of work and cutting stuff out. The WWII bits and the Witwiccan Order? No.

 

I'm sure that The Last Fail still can be topped with a movie even worse.

Can anyone even honestly say they followed the story thread from 1 to 5 so clearly that they genuinely need to see a resolution!? Just make up your own story, that’s all they did every movie!

A proper finally would look good on paper but TLK wrote irself into a corner. It would only go south from there.

 

I wouldn't mind him finishing off the trilogy, but audiences might not be receptive to him returning. I really can't see it happening at this point, unless Bay were to push for it himself, and maybe put some of his own money into it. Frankly, I don't think his heart is really in it anymore.

 

I want TLK expunged from the franchise.

What about that Transformers animated movie they were going to make? Is it cancelled? If yes couldn't Hasbro revive it again and use it as the sequel to Last Knight?

 

I don't even think Bay wants to do another one. I know he likes making the movies. But from reading interviews it seems to me he wants to do other projects. Like that elephant movie for instance

 

Gross, no. I hope this doesn't become a thing, like the equally stupid "Snyder cut" of a movie that was so unwatchable that they had to hire another guy and reshoot another entirely different movie. This "Bay cut" would just be even more stupidity in the already horrible TF movies. Move on, I hear this Bee movie is ACTUALLY GOOD (which blows my mind and I'm not sure how I can deal with a TF movie actually being good after a decade of dreck).

To be fair, once you boil the movies down to their "cliff notes" by getting rid of all the stupid bullshit "plot" and re-edit them into a cohesive timeline, they're actually not that terrible. I would love to see someone do fan edits to this series, I'm sure all five can be cut and arranged into two decent movies (maybe three).
