It is a thing occurring in the legal system presently, yes.

Well, innocent until proven guilty, I suppose. Although when I lived in LA/worked in movies I did hear some rumors (which doesn't make them true) that are uncomfortably close to what he's being accused of.

    Time will tell.

None of this changes the fact that he misses more than hits as a director. But being found guilty will probably have a very real impact on him making movies...

Please no. His work in the X-Men series is respectable but he's just as guilty as Bay when it comes to poorly-thought-out ideas. Just watch Superman Returns. (Thankfully Zach Snyder cleaned up that mess...)

I don't want a director who will put nude men and semi-nude boys alongside robots.

The guy is pedo and violated boys. #DontRapeBoys

That's not the same case as Transformers. In that movie, they used a handful of human actors in motion capture suits, and they made only so many ape models and then duplicated them as many times as needed. The only completely unique ape was Caesar. They did a similar thing in Star Wars for the clone troopers.
With the Transformers, each character must be his or her own scratch-built model, and must have their movements animated individually without having the motion capture models to start on. This is why there are so many reused models and nameless identical Decepticons in the TF movies, and so many characters that do next to nothing.

I don't think Bryan Singer will be directing anything big any time soon.

Honestly there are only three directors I can think of off the top of my head that I would dwant to handle Transformers.

Steven Speilberg (nevermind the executive junk): Speilburg is fantastic at a fun and family friendly adventure story with likeable and well developed characters. For a family franchise like Transformers I think this would suit him - he also is very adept at crafting an strong narrative.

Joss Whedon: MTMTE style movie filled with character banter heavily TF focused, could work.

JJ Abrams: Similar sense of spectacle as Bay but has a better sense of place and character than Bay does, Abrams balances spectacle and character much better than Bay IMO.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes focused on the human aspect also and was pretty much split the same.

Yeah, I went and looked it up and holly fuck, that's some nasty shit.

Makes one wonder what kind of skeletons Bay has in his closet...And can we please get someone to maybe take a look in that closet.

    ^Pretty much this.

And it's not like I'm saying that the transformers couldn't get a little more character time, but ultimately if it's a live action film, it's always going to be a movie done primarily from the human character's experience in the story.

I wouldn't say he cleaned up the mess so much as made one of his own.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but you know what... maybe we're better off with bay!

No, he hasn't even been charged with a crime and it doesn't appear that he will be. He's being sued by his accuser, however, but he of course denies any involvement.

You can sue someone for an un-convicted crime??

Anyway, quilty or not, with all this flying around him, probably best he's kept away from kids movies.

You can sue for anything, but your case might not go to court.

At this point it doesn't matter if he did it or not. Once the media gets ahold of this kind of thing it pretty much take on a life of it's own and becomes a fact in most people's eyes.

One way or another I'd say this guy's career is done. Professionally at least.

I just want anyone else to direct Transformers. Hell, I'll take Uwe Boll or Joel Schumacher over Bay anyday.

Really? Just to spite Bay you wish these movies were worse? Their bad now, but the overall wish here is for the quality to go up, not down.

I mean, while we're at it, let's have Orson Scott Card write the plot, and Miley Cyrus replace Marky Mark.

...Does anyone know any other people of controversy, cause that's all I got?

In all seriousness, personally, I'm fine with our Julius Cesaer. Would I replace him with Bryan Singer? MEH. Not super into the X-men stuff. My favorite one would probably be the one he didn't even direct, so I'm pretty apathetic about the guy's work.

    That's just my two cents.
