Why do I want this toy now?!?

I was chilling in Walgreens tonight waiting for a friend to pick up me and my wife after visiting our daughter in the Hospital. I saw a display that had some TFs and figured I'd just browse to kill some time, and I stumbled on her package. My jaw dropped with excitement. I think it was because she was such a hard to find figure for me.

Still knowing all the issues, all the hate, seeing all the terrible reviews.

I had the package in hand, and I cried inside for her horrible design, and even threw up a little in my mouth (metephorically speaking)

Bros, I feel bad for her. Should I go ahead and pick her up out of pity, and just love her ugliness?

The poor toy get's even more hate than BB and Wheelie Combined. It's not her fAult she's got such a horrible design. she was created that way.  

 

Well it is near Halloween, so you could get the figure to help scare the kids that come for candy.

But I will say this, if you want a full TFP Dcon set, wait for the CV that is coming out during Beast Hunters. It looks so much better than the deluxe.

 

She is a major character, so go for it. More importantly, I hope all is well with your daughter.

I originally wanted her before because I wanted all the show characters, but you know what? Fuck it. I don't care about the line as much as I did before and I don't want to support them making trash like this. The damn Cyberverse toy looks better if you ask me.

It's probably why they didn't make that many of her. I'm thinking even deep down they new she was a horrible final design.

 

The cyberverse is hella cute, but the deluxe isn't that bad as a display piece, especially if you unscrew the backpack & reattach the legs where you like. Its shitty as hell as a "toy" I will admit, though.

 

If you want a full show or full Decepticon show lineup, than get her.

I don't think anyone is wrong or anything for either wanting her or buying her. I just hope that anyone going in on her (certainly at this point, with all of the feedback on her in) is aware that you're not getting a good toy and any positive you find will be by desperately searching for something to say that's not negative.

I sure hope they don't think this was a good toy, but then again if they knew the whole time, I wish they would've scrapped the mold before it became too late in the process and held off on her until Beast Hunters.

 

If I found her, I would buy her up, just for the full on show cast...

 

I bought her. Still have her. Glad I did.

 

I think it will be crazy if Airachnid actually goes up in value over time if she remains hard to find (and, presumably, the online stock on the AM release also dwindles as well). That would be more inexplicable to me than RotF Shadow Command Megs ratcheting up in value.

 

If she's still there this thursday, I'll probably grab her. that's when I get paid. lol

Even the ugly duckling needs to be loved and have a home.  

 

Yeaaaah she's not going up in value. If anything I bet all these PRID toys will go down in value. I mean, just look at the Animated toys. I see people selling them for dirt cheap nowadays.

I'm pretty sure the only TFs that are gonna be worth anything out of all these new toys are the Classics/Universe related stuff.

 

Ha ha, yeah like I said, it'll be crazy IF it actually happened. Then again, I never would've thought that Shadow Command Megs would fetch much more than retail on the secondary market.

 

I want her because I have an idea for a comic on the site, but I need at least 3 or more figures & a good camera before I start thinking about making it. I'd say go for it once Fakebuster has released the Upgrades for the figure because while she would still be a piece of crap on the inside, she would look a lot better on the outside.

EDIT: Never mind, I just read the thread. Fakebuster is leaning towards canceling the project if he hasn't already.

 

It wouldn't hurt to buy one but I don't care if I never see her on store shelves.
