Yeah, I said it. No more damn teaser images. Show us the whole Prototype or go home.

Also, be ready for a lot of criticism if you show the whole prototype.

This whole, here is a right elbow, guess what were making things is very annoying at this point and causes nothing but flame wars on the forums.

the point of the teasers is to make people get excited to see the figure, there's nothing wrong with teasing future releases, its better than the 3rd party groups not showing anything until its ready for release

people complain no matter what. a third party could show us prototypes of a 1:1 Optimus Prime that transforms itself, speaks 300 languages, AND is free..and someone will bitch about how his smokestacks are at the wrong angle

Hey, those smokestacks are an integral part of what defines Optimus' silouhette. To not get them right is to do the fandom, and the character, a disservice. I stand by complaints there.

Nothing wrong with teasers. Just make sure you actually plan to go forward with the idea.

I mean, whatever happened to that Animated Menasor? Or Powermaster Wingblade upgrade? Or the 3rd Party Galvatron? This list goes on.

Teasers aren't the problem, it's the companies who don't deliver on them.

Really? I mean, the teasers for FoC Omega Surpreme were crazy vague. What is the difference between showing a non nonsensical shape or saying, we are looking at doing this figure?

Plus when the teasing goes on for like 1 year +, it's freaking too much. FP is as close as we get to proper teasing. They tease, and boom a month or so later they are out. Either that or we see full protos.

I'd rather a teaser than nothing at all, as long as they follow through with the product when the idea is well recieved

Besides, half the reason we get underwhelmed or driven nuts is because the teasers WORKED.

The point of teasers is to drive us into a frenzy and keep the hype train going; plus, since we know something that looks awesome is coming, we mentally add it to our "to buy" list and make our price guesstimates so we're ready.

i dont mind teaser images. the more info the merrier.

maybe they can have a new section of tfw2005 for only non-teaser related news.

I'd like it if they only revealed a few months prior, not a year plus. If its within that range I can budget for it. Last thing I need are surprise $ 200 figures I must own, not wallet friendly at all.

It's not teasers alone that annoy me. It's stupid/new random third party companies that tease random silhouettes. A good chunk of the time they never follow up on it. These may as well not exist:

Hell, they could easily be fake. I could make a NEW BLITZWING THIRD PARTY BRAND NEW silhouette poster in photoshop in a few minutes. Call it BOUNTY TOYS and expect it to come in 2013. If you're a new third party company PROTOTYPES FIRST or gtfo. Not going to bother getting excited for shit that has nothing to back it up.

Bingo! For me, I really have no issue with teaser, but just don't give us a silhouette/ blacked out picture that could represent any bot. I'm just tired of guessing game. If you're gonna do that, at least put a description e.g. character X.

lol, the boards been like this for years nothing and no-ones gonna change, if you don't like it leave or avoid the threads. Another pointless thread to go along with all the teaser threads :rock
