As you know, I have been fighting and arguing that Springer is in the movie due to his Movie Legends and Robot Heroes toy classes. In movie one, both of those toy classes were on screen characters only. Therefore, in this movie there had to be an on-screen Springer to make sense. But his non appearance in the novels or what I have heard from the comics has made me think. The Movie Legends for this movie has been re-named EZ series or something and the robot heroes have not been released wave by wave yet I don't think (have they?) He might have been dropped from the movie and therefore dropped from the Robot Heroes line. Maybe his "EZ" is gone too, but I hope not. I hope he hasn't been dropped or has magically been worked in as cannon fodder. I swear, if they make one of my favorite Transformers a cannon fodder I will have to punch someone in the face :mad

Or maybe you can accept Springer was toy only since the start with his recycled Incinerator body and clearly too-garish-for-movie colorscheme?

This. Additionally, what may have been true for the first movie's toy line is not necessarily going to be true for RotF's.

"EZ Collection" is what Legends are called in Japan. That's how it was for the first movie as well.

People have bought Springer's Robot Heroes toy already. From stores.

You're getting angry about nothing. And making lots of useless threads. I'm leaning towards putting you on my ignore-list.

You don't know too much about the history of this film do you? Jolt has been in a character the writers wanted to fit in, from nearly the start, he was only added in the last minute because the writers had a hard time working him in, and GM wanted they're volt car to be showcased, which gave the writers incentive to convince bay to let them put the character in. That's why Jolt isn't in any of the adapted materiel such as comics and novels, because he was literally added just as they were starting filming which makes sense since Bay had been saying that they were doing rewrites of the script during the start of filming. Also the film script is still different in many ways to the novel, we haven't seen the film yet so we obviously don't know what differences there will be but the novel would only be at most 70% close to this film script.

Finally, I find it hard to believe Jolt's design meant he plays a smaller role in the film, they would of shot all his scenes, before rendering his models and such, so I doubt that would ever be a factor in the film, and its not like they couldn't change his design, they had as much time to design him as they did most of the other characters.

Doesn't explain why Blaze Master looks so much like Springer's Legend figure though, down to the same head. Maybe Springer was meant to a normal helicopter but was later turned into the Osprey, and the toy was too far along to just scrap so they turned him into a different character? The Legends and Robot Hero were easy to design though, so that would explain why he does have those figures.

Who knows what the hell is up with a potential movie appearance, though...Could be scrapped, could be the same situation as Jolt.

Go ahead and do that :thumb

Meanwhile, I will still post questions to people who can accept the fact that I'm only 14 and needs to curb my movie excitement somehow and has a few questions that need answering. Sorry if you are annoyed by my many questions and curiosities :rolleyes2

I just want to come back and say, this is a silly, silly point. You think Springer was dropped from the movie at the last minute, and that led Hasbro to decide to what, scrap all plans of releasing the toys of him they've already announced, shown off, and began to mass-produce? Toy companies don't just take masses of toys and dump them into trash compactors because of some stupid thing like that. Arcee and Wreckage from the first movie toyline were originally planned to be in the film. Those plans were dropped, but Hasbro went through with the process of makings toys of them anyway, knowing they'd not be in the film.

This thread is so foolish. You could avoid making a majority of your silly, nonsense threads with just an iota of research and common-sense.

I think people are getting annoyed because you continually post threads with 2 types of questions:

    1) Ones that could easily be answered by doing personal research and going to Wikipedia or the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog.

    2) Ones that no one knows the answers to, because the movie hasn't been released yet.

Just try and be mindful of your actions. For some reason, people on this board get extremely angry at threads that they don't care for.

Well, thanks for being nice about it. I'll stop posting my own threads. I'll just comment on other threads.

I don't think Autobot_Wall-E means any harm by his posts or threads. I mean, what about all those people who post about 3,000 "Is Jazz coming back?" threads on a daily basis?

I for one, am very interested in the consensus on this. Springer was about to be my favorite character.

    Things of interest:
The legends and the heroes springer figs share the same design, that is different from all other designs, including incinerator and blaze master.

Blaze master does seem to have a similar head.

He has not been mentioned or hinted at anywhere thus far.
