***8-05-08 UPDATE*** Well gang, looks like this is gonna be a WIP after all!! I was at Wally-world tonight getting dog food, yeah...... that's it, dog food. It's not my fault they put the stuff right next to the toy aisles! Well, I took a peek and low and behold, there were all six of my TFA Constructicons sittin' on the shelf, just callin' me!! They were being discounted down to 5 bucks each, except for Hook 'cause he's big and part of a playset. I also picked up a Hulk TF, by far the best of the first wave of crossovers!! Just an awesome figure all around! I plan on using his huge arms for TFA Devastator's forearms and hands! I only picked up 4 of 6 plus Hulk 'cause I only had a little cash and didn't bring my debit card with me! It's cool, I'll pick the other 2 up tomorrow when I go back for the dog food! As for the vehicles sizes, they are very much like a large deluxe, but my theoretical 'bot modes will be closer to voyager sized. Kinda like Lockdown. I will try to blend G1 goodness with TFA aesthetics to come up with a cool set of Constructicons. This will be a slow (even by MY standards) project, and will concentrate on one at a time. I will also make a conscious effort to take "work in action" pics, I had some PMs about my engineering thought processes and styrene fabrication. Although it's all pretty basic stuff, maybe there will be some useful tidbits for anyone who wants to scratch build(or partially scratch build) TFs. Thanks for the look and sorry for the long read. Be talkin' to ya!!---BH _______________________________________________________________________ Like I need any more projects!! But I can't stop looking at these, thinking of the possibilities of TFA: Devatator! So, watcha' think? In order as pictured: Hook, Scavenger, Bonecrusher, Mixmaster, Scrapper, Long Haul Last pic is a lame attempt to color one up.
I know!! And they belong to the same line so they scale out really nicely!! Even the way they would part out Devs is perfect. Mixmaster and Scrapper (legs) are about the same size, as is Boncrusher and Scavenger (arms). Hook is the biggest and would make for a nice broad chest, and Long Haul would be great for the hips! Hmmmmnn....Leader Magnus, where are you? ** breaks out the screwdrivers**
That's what I was thinking! Not only would it be cool to see, but I could use the 5-6 month lead time!!
