At the Huntington Beach Toys R Us. It was a Movie Rescue Ratchet box with some obscure Armada, Energon, Cybertron toy that was broken and clearly did not fit in the plastic. Quickly pointed it out to one of the associates on the floor and they asked if I did it…like it wasn't effin obvious or anything. Jesus you do something to show other peoples deception only to get blamed yourself…god damn riot.
That's funny. Toys R Us employees are complete ******s. I thought it was just here but I guess it's the same everywhere.
Yeah it was... "he's wearing a shirt that has a transformer on it so he must have shown us out of guilt" Um no...if I had done it I would never show my face in that TRU again... And no I wouldn't becasue that's just ******ed.
There was an epic thread over at TFans that showed the most ridiculous repacks I've ever seen, like sticking a Scout-Class figure in a Voyager box and returning it.
The people who do these things obviously don't know the value of time. All the time to go to TRU or wherever, then do the swap, then bring it back to the store. Not to mention whatever you went through to get the original toy you are losing. It just doesn't add up. But hey, if they're doing that, basic math may be a problem for them.
Link please? Cuz that sounds interesting. Also, just out of interest, what figure was jammed into the Rescue Ratchet box? Did you actually recognize it?
That sounds kinda well i mean real messed up since why on earth would some one do that. But what where the pieces exactly.
I saw a repack once. A power rangers figure in a transformers box. I got it and threw it on top of the shelf so no one would find it,and get ripped off. Got a laugh out of it though. It was a bullcrap figure (no robots or megazords) in a leaderclass cybertron megatron box. But I made shure no one got ripped off.
Can't find it, since apparently TFans merged with TFormers, but it was seriously hilarious and yet extremely frustrating at the same time.
I work there and i notice alot of people there just do what they do and dont even notice small thinngs like that. I mean c'mon the box shows whats supposed to be in there anyway.
LOL, I would've had to take the piss out of this employee. After giving them the "you're a moron" stare for a 2-count, I would've said "Yeah, I did it. I brought one of my toys from home, came in here, ripped open one of your packages, slipped it in there, then brought it to your attention, while not asking for an exchange or a refund. I just thought you guys might like a donated toy." And then I would've asked for a referral to his manager.
OH MAN!!! I SAW A RED VW DIECAST HOTWHEELS IN A CLASSICS STARSCREAM PACKAGE AT WAL-MART LAST YEAR!!!!!! That was the crappest SS I ever bought.
Haha, yeah, this thread is the one you're thinking of. It's awful, at the same time it's a damn riot.
