So, I recently received the Dragon Ball Dragon Stars Perfect Cell, and I noticed one of his bicep swivels was a little loose. So, I wanted detach the bicep from the shoulder to tighten it. The problem is, I have no idea how to get it off, and I'm terrified that if I do get it off, I might damage the figure. I'm also don't want to put the figure in hot water for fear of it ruining the paint. It doesn't seem to be made of the softer, rubbery plastic that Marvel Legends and Star Wars Black Series figures are made of, if that helps at all. Can any of you give me any suggestions for getting

(Here's a pic of the figure, for an example)

Get some acrylic based polish (Future/Pledge Floor polish is a go to for toy collectors aet a toothpick and drip some into the joints and then move it around a few times to let it soak in. let it dry overnight and it should be better. If you need to add another coat or two for more stiffness, just repeat the process.

I would, but I don't know if I can. The space between the pieces is to small for me to get anything into the joint, and I'm nervous to melt/ruin the plastic. I only have super glue and clear nail polish, and I can't go out to the stores right not. The actual joint, pretty far into the arm. It's kind of like a gundam model kit, if I could equate it to anything.

That's why you use a toothpick to get it as close in as you can. Moving the joint after you drip it in will let it coat and soak in where it needs to be. It works very well at getting in small joints and tightening them up.

Yup, toothpick or a fine paint brush. Floor polish is very, very viscous like water and will find its way into the joint. Plus it won't fuse the joint shut like glue or anything. Use as much as you need, and it dries slowly so you have ample time to wipe away excess without fear of the paint smudging.

You can try but make sure you definitely move the joint around a lot or you could fuse it in place. I would just get some acrylic nail polish before I used Gorilla Glue for anything but fixing a part that broke off.

I wouldn't recommend it. Floor polish is still your best best because it's so forgiving. Any actual adhesive runs the risk of, well, gluing the part.

I would advise that people NOT use Gorilla Glue for toys, especially for delicate parts.

The stuff expands, and is meant to be used with a clamp (to keep the glued parts together). I mean, will you successfully glue two parts together? Probably. Will you also have a dried bulb of glue separating your two glued parts? Probably.

It's strong as f$&k, and I actually glued a metal piece of my toilet holder to the side of my bathroom cabinet with it. Now, nothing save a hammer strike from Thor will knock it back down.

    This is sound advice.
