I posted those mods back in the day. Here's how the figure looks as the result.

Finally pulled the trigger myselft on Maketoys Visualizer as I think they're the best reprensentation of the character.

Furthermore, Maketoys sells them directly from their store à a great discount.

Can't wait to get the in hand now.

Sup people from 4 years ago?

Between MT and KFC, which reflector feels better in the hand? Which feels more solid as an action figure?

I'm especially interested to know what you have to say if you've handled both!

The MT version is less cartoon accurate and doesn't have the sound gimmicks of the Xtb. But after some of the qc issues of xtb stuff I'd go MT. Its a solid set.

I wish MT would release a toon repaint for their Reflector mold. I think the mold itself is actually the most toony in robot mode, but the deco is off.

It's the most 'toon accurate sculpt-wise, but the least deco-wise (they seem to have used the IDW comics for reference, for that particular white and purple scheme).

I bought, and kept, both. I think XTB's looks better in both modes overall, is the only MP scale Reflector with a show-accurate deco in both modes, and seems more finished somehow. But MT's is great, as others have mentioned is a very show-accurate mold though not deco, is better-articulated, and has the added bonus of a fully-integrated altmode... their transformation is better. MT's definitely looks more like a toy on the shelf, whereas XTB's fit better with the new slavishly accurate style. As someone else mentioned, if they released a show-accurate deco, they may very well be the best, but that hasn't happened and doesn't seem likely to.

I’ve only interacted with one set - thr own that I own - Fanstoys Reflector.

bit I can say that the figures feel boring/dull/lifeless. Whereas the KFC and MT pop more, visually. I wish I had gotten the KFC ones instead of FT.

Between MT and KFC - does either feel more solid to handle in bot mode? The KFC seems to have better hardware (more ratchets) and cleaner legs in bot mode. I see that the maketoys has more articulation though.

Τhe most successful as the character depiction overall is KFCs. The other two have areas that exceed KFCs but in areas only, not overall.

Also after the second wave KFCs is mostly QC free, that is it is a bitch to transform due to KFC having that love for bending plastic and tight as f"""k tolerances. Didnt feel id break anything though and I am not one to be super carefull.
