Man, the build up to these movies is awesome. My hype for AOE was brought Down by how much I loath DOTM, my hype for which was brought down by not liking ROTF that much, but AOE has restored my faith in these films being at least tolerable. Like primal789 said, now that we're getting spin offs, there should be a lot more of these movies to get overly hyped about.
After the movies are out, the bashing threads are revelant, as the movies are highly bashable. But they do annoy me a bit before the movie comes out! That is a time for optimism!!
I become an overhyped mess and I love every second of it. Depends on how high you set your expectations.
Yeah dude it's normal! Remembering this amazing time when a whole world was waiting for thunderstorm and scent of Transformers was everywhere - it's always a bit sad *sigh I also often miss 2011 when I almost met Michael Bay at crazy Linkin Park's concert (Iridiscent sounded on Red Square) and sunny Pushkinskiy theater! Yeah! I'm sure we all are waiting and believe in it!
Such sweet memories. Well, most of them. I remember a lot of people were pissed because it took forever for the trailers to come out. Seems silly now, looking back. lol
I remember every last one of us waiting for the AOE superbowl spot. There were literally 3,000+ people in the movie forum. we played games and shit all in that one thread and when the trailer dropped, I remember I couldn't even access the site. It was FLOODED.
The moment people started reporting about details elsewhere on the net, describing the plot of TF4, this subforum exploded with people talking about how TF5 surely would be better despite not having seen the film themselves. Really, the amount of hype that supposedly gets generated gets bigger every year, both in the pre-release response to advertising...and the inevitable shock at how terrible the film ends up being plot wise.

I sort of missed being pumped for the movies but honestly it's a cycle...and we'll be doing it all again in the months to come before TF5.
