Spent a couple hours in Tinkercad, modifying some files for customs. Made the 3 and 1 hands from VALKRII into 2 and 1 and 1, so they can make the V pose. Hopefully they work as designed - I'll find out when I print them.
They needed to be altered because the first custom I'm printing of VALKRII is the Universe Space Case figure, and - in one alternate universe - it's rumoured that Space Case and Soundwave are female, and musical idols. So, naturally my son wants Idol Space Case for his collection.
I altered the head to make it more like the original toy - one solid screen for a face rather than a visor and mouthplate, for a start. I also further modified one head for the Idol version by removing one antenna and reshaping the side that won't have one.
Original VALKRII head on the left, Space Case on the right, and Idol in the middle.

Really cool! I like how the parts make those solid sounding snaps when it is put together.

I saw someone make this on Instagram, first I'd seen it. I was enamored. I asked him if he could or would print one for me and he declined. So, I just have to admire pictures because this is way outside my wheelhouse project-wise.

    Really impressive work!

Hey @Toymakr3D. Great stuff! I am printing Jazz right now and its a joy to assemble. There is a lot thought put into breaking down the parts for assembly. It's even more amazing that you learned all these on your own via the Internet. Do you mind me asking what program you are using to design all these? I use tinkercad only for simple designs because it is not very efficient and a bit limited. I tried learning blender but the learning curve is high.

    Thanks for sharing your designs.

Here’s what I have printed so far. I only have white pla at the moment so I’ll probably end up painting the rest.

Anyway this could be scaled down for printing to scale more with HG/RG Gundam kits? Wondering if it'd be possible so I can print it out for my mecha display.

Thanks. I am checking out Shapr3D now. Looks like an awesome app. Everything is made easier for the user/designer and lots of functions unlike Tinkercad.

BTW, love your recently released Ark. Unfortunately, I don’t have the build volume to print it. Have to save it for the future prints.

These guys have been printed for over a month, but I hadn't got around to final assembly until this week.
Universe Space Case and Universe Space Case "Idol version" (only one antenna, slightly different head design to account for it)
Incidentally, I printed these before I learned that silver silk and gold silk PLA print just a *tiny* bit expanded - as does the maroon PLA I used, so assembling them was a biiiiiitch with super-tight tolerances. Had to do a lot of shaving and sanding, but it was worth it.

Now that I have an Ender 3 Max and a CR-10, I'll be printing a VALKRII at 200% as Dark Skyfire/SG Jetfire.

Having experimented a bit with Shapr3d, I’d love to see some tutorials from you regarding how you produce parts with complex curves on Shapr3d. This, the Mecha-Kong, the upcoming Mechagodzilla; they all have such fantastic details and complex shapes.
