I suspected that Dreadwing would get murdered eventually. Who'll take his place? Shockwave, who's just as loyal as Dreadwing was. Shockwave was in the sneak peak for Beast Hunters in NYCC and Dreadwing wasn't in the clip.

Fuck the writers btw, Dreadwing did jackshit and didn't recieve much development. "THEY KILLED MY SPARK BROTHER SKYQUAKE, EVERY SINGLE AUTOBOT WILL PAY...I'M LOYAL TO YOU, MEGATRON, AND THE DECEPTICONS *beats up an Autobot but still gets defeated* ", that's all Dreadwing did really. I was regaining interest in the show but the writers absolutley turned me off now by killing a character who was clearly supposed to have developed and switched sides. Now the Decepticon cast is small while the Autobots are big and victorious and jolly because they're the good guys and the writers can't fucking write something that keeps you holding on to your seat anymore.

Only one whiner thread per episode please.

Seriously though, it's ok if you have a critique of the show, but that's what episode threads are for.

yeah, so much fan-nerd rage no? :lol
Look when BW Depthcharge bit the bullet, although he was awesome and badass and all, his death served a necessary plot arc in the story. So Dreadwing's death has the same bearing.

    > Whining that Dreadwing died instead of joining Autobots
    > Because now that means the Decepticon cast is small and Autobots big.

The fact that the Autobots didn't get a new member makes Autobots the winners.

That is the logic a topic like this uses in it's tired rant.

lol fuck this noise you guys dont need a break from the show im the one that needs a break from you guys

peace out, back when season ends.

I think part of the problem is that it's *another meaningless death*. Really they couldn't think of anything better than "let's kill him?" He could've just, you know...

    left?

He said he didn't feel right into betraying his faction. And he did help out the Autobots in the end so it's not like it's completely pointless. And that he knew he'll be found out for his treachery and killed so he might as well make the most of it by bringing the one responsible for his brother's death with him too. As we saw it didn't go as planned.

Well it is nice to have some personality and a little less mustache twirling all the time. Hell people love seeing villains do good. It's the one saving grace of that MotU Christmas special for crying out loud :p

kaijuguy19: Yeah I can see that, it just irks me how matter-of-fact it went. Then again Megatron's not been one to really care about killing his own troops.

They're characters that got a lot of interesting development as far as Decepticons go. It's not so much that they want another BW Dinobot, they just want a character who the writers bother giving so much work into to maybe NOT bite the bullet and give the Decepticons someone who isn't a completely evil bastard all the way to the core (like Armada Starscream, who did the turncoat thing to both factions, but had the most significant death in the series as his sacrifice made the bots and cons unite against the greater threat of Unicron). I mean, Breakdown's death to this point was pointless, because EVERYTHING that happened as a result has been written out. Nemesis Prime? Still rotting away with the U.S. Government. CyLAS? Pretty sure he's dead at this point along with his own betrayed organization. Airachnid? She's been in stasis since like, the episode after she kills Breakdown with no prospect of getting out anytime soon. And then with Dreadwing, to proverbially "slap" people in the faces with signs of an all-but-outright-stated transfer to the Autobots ALL SEASON only for him to end up dying in the end without any major repercussions? That's piss-poor writing.

Dreadwing made his contribution to the Autobot cause: He gave them the Forge.

He might have been sympathetic, but he wasn't a turncoat.
