Why didn't the Decpticons shoot at Optimus when he was tangled up in the cables?

 

Did they actually see him get tangled in the cables? Maybe they just thought he took a nosedive into the river after Shockwave blasted him.

 

The Decepticons have not proved themselves to be the best at combat.  
Like ^ said, probably didn't see him, just assumed he was gone.

 

It would've been better if Optimus was temporarily buried under tons of rubble. Seeing him tangled in the cables for what seemed like half an hour was just silly, but I digress.

Now with the Wreckers being on task to help free Optimus almost as soon as he got tangled, I suppose it was somewhat implied that they would've taken down whatever Decepticon threat was nearby.

 

Considering the fact that almost everyone has horrible aim that isn't 10 feet away....

 

Protoform 1-"Shouldn't we go look for Optimus Prime?"
Protoform 2-"Nah,lets watch Barricade kill the Autobot inventor!"

Maybe the Cons were ordered to not touch Optimus?

 

Its obvious the Decepticons are scared to get even near Optimus Prime.

I don't blame them. I don't want to get near Faceripperoffer McGee.

 

They mostly likely didn't feel like it....and remember...Bumblebee,Ratchet,Sideswipe,Dinorage,and Quejack were kickin' their rears...soooo


 

 

Cuz that would have been a stupid way for Optimus to die.

 

...But he'd be dead. That's what's important.

 

He'd just be brought back to life again. You know he comes back from the dead more often than Jesus.

 

They just figured being tangled in cables was already a death sentence, like a tiny net.
