and everyone is complaining, because it was a 2.1 or something like that, lol and i am sure my brother in california is laughing. any one else in portland oregon feel it? any how, everything is ok, at my house. i don't think any one had any damage if there was damage i would have to laugh.
i know lol we're all complaining about a 2.1, yet, i looked it up, california, had 3 in the last hour, and like 15 in the past day, and alaska, had like 20 in the past day, yet we complain about are first earthquake, a small 2.1 earthquake, in 6 years lol
we had some minor eathquakes here in Indiana area and i never felt a single one.. they were all 3 or less i think..
yea, that is the odd thing WE here in portland act as if it is not a common thing... and it is like the end of the world or something...
I grew up in LA and was in the SF one during the World Series (Upper Level UGH!) anything short of a 5 is nothing, though 3.5-5 is kinda fun.
I was born in San Francisco. One of my earliest memories is being caught in an earthquake while I was at pre-school. I just remember watching Lincoln logs falling off of shelves and some Brio trains falling apart. Damn, that was like forever ago. I guess it would have been '82? '83? Were there any prominent earthquakes those years?
Here you go Dolza... http://earthquake.usgs.gov/recenteqsUS/Quakes/uw01290200.htm 2.8... Here's something more though... http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqinthenews/2006/usika7/ Looks like Indonesia was hit AGAIN...
oh no, 2.8! better run for the hills! oh poor indo, i hope they were ok. shoot, i have a friend near there... :huh
Only if it has the potential to cause a tsunami like it did last winter... But then land locked epicenters can cause tsunamis too...
