There are two packages available for the The transformers DVD at my local Target. 1. Standard foil cover with three Transformer heads being Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee. 2. Transforming Optimus Prime DVD case. I bought both on accident somehow, but I have not opened either of the DVDs as I will be taking one DVD back to the store. I would like to keep the Transforming DVD case for pure collections purposes, but I noticed in the packaging it holds the DVDs. I thought it was some wacky incentive hence the reason I bought two copies of the DVD. I thought the regular DVD slips inside the transforming DVD case. I would like to hear some feedback if the case is worth the extra $10.00 or if the case is not worth the extra $10.00 because if falls apart, plain sucks, etc. Your thoughts are appreciated AA
I have the transforming case, and I like it enough. It's a nice little addition to a collection, and is pretty sturdy, but it's about as complicated to change as the gift card. I'd recommed keeping it, but it's up to you.
Agreed. I you are just after the movies then keep the cheaper one. If you are after the collectibility factor then keep the transforming one. I have the transforming one and I like it for what it is.
I agree with Grimlock and Primus, the transforming case is a nice display piece, and either way, you have the DVD, so if you're not worried about the $10, keep the transforming one. Also, you mentioned it falling apart, and I had mine standing on a shelf, and then on top of my display case for months before moving it inside my display case, and it never fell over or anything. The discs are kept in a little clamshell "backpack" when prime is standing, and mine haven't gotten scratched or anything like that. So yeah, keep the fancy case.
