Now what exactly to spend them on? I'm thinking Bubble Bobble as definite. Is Duck Hunt on it? ( I looked but didn't see it). I have most of the N64 games on there, so I don't want any of those. Suggestions? Any games not work properly, have any problems or are ones I should avoid because they just suck/ didn't translate well? Also, is the internet browser worth it?
I really like the internet browser, it's the first thing I bought, I like watching Youtube on my TV, and if I get stuck in a game I pause it, go to the internet browser an look for a walk through. Plus, you can play some flash games on it too.
IIRC you used the Browser to even post on the boards. I thought I heard something about them giving away the Browser for free at some point. Did I just miss out on it?
all the vc games are very well emulated, no problems with the ports at all. i just got startropics today... haven't played that game in years but its still great! i got blades of steel and bubble bobble the other day too. they've had a few good nes games out recently. dragon's curse for the tg-16 is a fun game too, i keep coming back to that one. if you only get one tg-16 game make it that one. i've been loving the vc... but my wii is almost out of space...
Without knowing what you already have it's hard to make a recommendation. Although, Star Tropics just came out today, and it's an awesome game. Like Zelda with a yo-yo and jumping.
Wait, How do you pause a game and go on the internet? I always wanted to do that, but don't know how. I end up stopping the game, go on the net, then restarting the whole game again. If I can go on the net without stopping the game, that would be awesome.
I went old school and bought Punch Out, Ninja Gaiden, Super Mario Bro's, and Excite Bike from the original NES. I'm actually thinking of getting some more.
The VC is the best thing abou the wii in my eyes I just recently downloaded Contra 3 Aleien wars I forgot how hard that damn thing was. And im about to beat the Orginal Metroid then its on to super metroid i love metroid.
On VC games you can just hit the home key go out to the menu and load up the web browser, as a matter of fact if you hit the home key and go back out to the menu, you can even turn the Wii off, and when you go back and start the game up you will be where you paused it. I'm not sure about Wii games because I haven't tried it, but it works on VC games.
Alright, I think I'll give that a go. how many points is it? Never played a Metroid game before, could be fun.
It's 800 points. Also, here is a site worth checking out if you want Virtual Console info: http://www.vc-reviews.com/
Yeah, I don't think it works on Wii games. And I knew it works for the VC games. I only have Punch Out so far. And the first time I stopped in the middle of a fight. When I wanted to play again, I turned on the game and Mr. Sandman's kicking my ass. As far as VC games, I got 3500 points left, and I'm waiting for a classic controller to get: Street Fighter II: Turbo or Super when that comes out Super Castlevania IV and Paper Mario
While Metroid is a blast, Kid Icarus for the old NES is also a great buy @ 500 points. I should've bought it last night, but I went w/ Super Mario Bros. 3 instead.
