I just spent 2 hours updating my collection spreadsheet, primarily to finally separate all of the generations/universe/reveal the shield/hftd figures out of the generic "classics" column I had them in. while doing so, I realized there were a bunch of figures that I'd either received in the past two months or have sitting in a pile of loot.

after sorting everything, and then putting the column total at the bottom, I scrolled over to the spreadsheet cell with the total toy count. I almost fell out of my seat--1001! I knew I was close, but I didn't realize I was THAT close. I was kind of hoping to make it a milestone, instead of it coming and going without any fanfare.

and for the record, the figure was the fansproject backfiery. yes, I count third party figures and ko's ;)

yup, two, actually. I'm not doing anything right now, so give me a minute and I'll take some pics.

*edit* without taking detailed pics that should really go into the collection thread, here's most of it with a better pic of the arm/en/cyb series shelves for ya. ignore all of the gi joe stuff poking into the pic ;)

You could always adjust your standards for what does or doesn't count if you want another shot at 1000 even. :)

That's totally cool man! At least you caught it before it was on a strange number.

Also, your collection is really neato. Post it in the Collections Showcase forum!

Welcome brother :) . The question is:

Do you count Headmasters as a separate figure for head and body?
    Do you count Targetmasters?
Do you count Micromaster teams packaged together as one or four?
    Do you count Minicons individually?
Do you count Pretenders and Shells?
Do you count non-transforming vinyl figures?

    For me the answers are:
    no
    yes
    four
    yes
    no
    no

Congratulations!! I've never been close to that many figures, but man, of I ever do hurt it, I'm throwing a party! Lol. And seriously, put stone pictures up in the collection area, I wanna see detailed shots!

That is a significant chunk of figs! Minicons jumped my total up for a while, but I've purged them and a bunch more. I've probably approached 500, but my ideal is somewhere in the 300 ballpark I think. Need to recoint

I've had a lot of TF's in storage, now I'm in a bigger house I can have them all out. I'm really excited to do a head count.

WOW! That looks really good. And glad that you have everything on display. That is an awfully big room... Congrats! With counting minicons I'm somewhere near, or over 1500 TF's. I've recently designed a wall to wall glass display cabinet that will harbor them all. (hopefully)

Hope to see the collection thread soon!
