I can't be the only one who thought WfC was better than FoC

Don't get me wrong, Fall of Cybertron was fun. It's just, War for Cybertron had more in it. Yeah, Fall had a better story mode and much better character customizing, but the rest suffers for it. No killstreaks, overly limited color options, only one ability, Escalation limiting characters to maps, the list goes on. Would you kindly explain to me why people enjoy FoC more?

Why should anyone need to explain that? Do they need to justify themselves beyond what you've already explained are FoC's strengths? Would their answers change your opinion?

I agree that WFC is better than FOC. But I still like FOC it's so much fun. Also wrong section dude, this thread should go in the TF video game discussion.

I think you've got your games mixed up. WFC had an insulting color palette for the Decepticons to choose from, along with so few model types it was sad. A single chassis type for the Leader?

Honestly, if you don't get it, what's the point?

I still think that the PlayStation Beast Wars game is the best.

Okay. I shouldn't have jumped on you. The first post just sounded like a lot of the "why do people have other opinions than mine" that are common around here and which are usually hostile. Sorry.

I liked both in their own way. I never once touched multiplayer on either game, but enjoyed the single player stuff on both sides. I did miss a lot of the banter from WfC cause you had 3 teammates, but I also liked the play style in FoC. Plus I just plain love the art in the game and the designs of the bots.

I enjoyed WFC a lot more than FOC as well. FOC was waaayy too hyped for what it was which wasn't much. It tried to add variety but I honestly think DOTM did cloaking and flying levels better. In fact I outright hate Cliff and Scream's FOC levels.

The multiplayer in FOC was dumbed down by being stripped down. WFC may have had extremely iritating flaws but the were few and you could sometimes find matches that were very enjoyable. FOC has so many small problems it's consistently boring and not enjoyable.

With a generic, heartless story, that couldn't carry the game, I didn't enjoy it. With both game's mutiplayers being pretty rubbish, the third is going to need a very long campaign for me to buy it and they better have a good writer doing the story.

Didn't like FOC as much as I thought I would. For once, besides the Bumblebee level, I thought it was INSANELY difficult and not enjoyable until Vortex's level. I died countless times as Optimus. The Swindle level at the bottom of the autobot transport was way too fast paced for my taste.

Bigger and bolder, but not necessarily that much greater than WFC. I did miss having partners with me.

WfC was a good game, but FoC improves on it in every way. The setpiece battles, the level design, the character abilities, the multiplayer maps, the customization, the script, the whole deal. The only place FoC falls short is not having campaign co-op, which really wasn't an issue for me.

WfC was constant repetition and minimal character differentiation. Every level in FoC feels distinct, and there are very defined differences between the character types. I have no idea why someone would prefer WfC, unless they really dig obsessive ammo conservation or were a huge Omega Supreme fan. It's not even a contest.

Yes, Multiplayer in WFC is better than FOC:

    + 2 abilities
+ "Smoother" steering (why should robots on their home planet move like they were on earth?)
+ Weapon pick-up (Nothing over picking up an EMP-Shotgun...)

    But:

    - No host migration (it's also a joke in FOC)
    - Hackers (Getting killed by a leader in a scientist chassis is no fun)
------- Leaders with warcry <---- THAT KILLED THE MULTIPLAYER OF WFC!!!!

If they had toned down the effect of warcry, I would still be playing WFC.
They didn't, so I play FOC, cause it's quite balanced.

Ok, the real good players didn't use leaders. So if you got in a game with the elite, it was hell lot of fun. But these leader-noobs...

I enjoyed WFC way more than FOC. It's killing me that the WFC servers are absolutely almost impossible to use now.

I still play WFC every night. I stick to Escalation as I can play it alone if nobody else is on.

I didn't bother going Prime mode in FOC and the Escalation was pure shit. And yes, I'm still PO'd with the direction they took the online. I anticipated FOC for a looooong time only to get kicked in the nuts.

Fall had better better singleplayer and escalation.
    War had better multiplayer.

    I'll keep it short

Wfc made Foc an instant buy, Foc makes the sequel a wait until cheaper.

WFC should have been the sequel instead of FOC in my opinion. WFC had actual perks and rewards when you went on a killing spree, you could pick your characters in the campaign, you had grenades by default, you actually had boss battles, the story was a lot more exciting to me, multiplayer never got dull and was chaotic fun, escalation was endless etc.
