He talked me into watching this show finally...

... I stil think it looks childish....

... I still think it looks stupid...

... and I also think it's the best TF show on TV since Beast Wars/Machines.

but then again, I figured this much out already.

So all right, I'm aboard... I just WISH it didn't look so Teen Titans-ish...

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it... I can admit when I'm wrong... but then again, I never said that it sucked... just the look of it does...

I agree with everything you just said, except...

I've watched Teen Titans, and I've watched Animated, and they honestly don't look that much alike to me.

When to take away all the horrid anime-slapstick that dominated Teen Titans, you really get a normal-looking cartoon.

The look is awesome to me. I don't think it sucks at all. (IMO)

Ok so here's my imo: They share a stylised design but I don' t think it looks like the TTish. If it looks the same to you and I know some others, it's probably because of the same production team (bet you knew this already though).

Well, at least you are on board for the stories (maybe try not to sound somewhat resentful for it?) because others can't get past the look.

I am just glad that Transformers is continuing to evolve and hence, being popular again. Other fandoms aren't so fortunate at adapting well to changes in trend, etc.

I'm right there with you, Enigma, even though I don't think TFA's design style sucks. And without meaning to spark a debate, there's plenty of evidence that G1 looked childish and stupid. I loved G1, but I look back on it and overall it does look kinda childish and there were some really stupid moments, episodes, and characters.

But TF Animated is like TFs for the next generation (I predict future fandom will call it "G3"). I honestly don't mind if it's a different continuity, different look, different characters, blahbity-blah.

Transformers are popular again, and it's actually cool to be a fan. And TFA has TFs still on the air in a brand new show that has been fairly entertaining, it's bringing us some cool new toys, and the G1 refs, nods, and cameos are keeping me very interested. If I had a son of my own, I would be watching TFA with him--passing on my love of TFs onto him. Being able to share something like that after 20 years would be a special bond indeed.

I just can't help but be excited about how TFA is going to develop from this point. I firmly believe a lot of diehard TF fans are going to be won over eventually when all the plot elements come together and give us some season finales and robot action and character development like we only dreamed of seeing in previous TF series.

Just because everyone has one doesn't mean they are all of the same quality this is the misunderstanding that is often made mostly by those with 'lesser' assholes...er I mean opinions.

The style reminds me of that show, and I HATED it.

And on the subject of assholes, my brother made me promise not to watch anymore episodes until he can watch them with me.

Same here. And it's grown on me after six episodes.

And trust me adapting to a show's change in direction is NOT mutually exclusive to other fandoms.

personally, i loved teen titans, i thought it was actually more fun then a lot of the justice league episodes, especially the early justice league episodes. i just wish that they had finished teen titans, because they left so much open for more story.

but maybe that is a reason why i like tfa, so much, because it is the a similar animation style. and the characters are similar, yet even though they are, they are also, very close to bw characters, then g1, heck all this show needs is a dinobot, and it would be bw lol...

to me this has got to be the best tf show of this century so far, while i did like armada, energon, and cybertron, and even rid, in my opinion, this one beats them all. animation might be more kiddish, but it is far more fun to watch.

and in the end, isn't that the point of a show? to be fun to watch? above all else?

and so far the plots are pretty cool, and the character devlopments are excellent so far. even with OUT decepticons, much, this still has to be one fo the best, tf shows since BW, and in alot of ways, it is to me, better then the bay movie, even. while the bay movie was fantastic, this series is more back down to what transformers is about. what made transformers great, and that is the individual characters, behind, the robots. even if some of them were kind'a cheesy characters lol *blurr, wheelie, tracks... ect* lol

but is it the new G1? no, do i want a new g1? no, g1 is dead lol, leave it in the past, it's long gone and will never come back, it's nearly 25 years later. get over g1 already :lol !

how ever, to me, right now, this is the best animated show on tv right now, since i don't watch much tv any more, something like this, making me wake up early on a saturday, just to watch this show, must mean something.

in the end in my opinion, it's just a fun show all around, and to me, that is the point of any show, to be FUN. :)

first of all you wake up early f that tivo FTW.

but on topic i love this show for the same reason its fun and the toys are great well will be great or well how do u talk about something thas made but not available for a stupid amount of time or thru ebay? again sorry i rant at times. but i watch this show with my nephews and its great cause im spawning a whole new gen of transfans. its fun to see nods to g1 and relay that message to a younger generation. plus i can always show em these boards so they can see the toys untill i get my ebay stash muhahaha.
then with these figs i dont see a man this is fragile look from em do you? still its a good show. but at first glance it can look kinda dumbed down from an art POV but the story telling has been good so far and im hooked.

When i first saw the art work i thought what the hell have they done? but i have to admit i love it, i think it's due to the lets avoid the power rangers style
stuff they've been doing previously. I'll admit the animation style still takes a bit getting used to
