I actually preferred Transformers: The Last Knight over Wonder Woman

Look, I understand which film is getting higher praise but we all have our personal taste and I enjoyed The Last Knight far more.

I didn't think Wonder Woman broke the superhero origin mould all that much and The Last Knight delivered the Michael Bay action spectacle which I expect of the series.

In terms of pure action and spectacle, there really aren't any movies that do it for me like the Transformers films, but Wonder Woman was a much more well-rounded movie by far.

For me, Pacific Rim did the job.

Yea, there's all the character stuff and imagery it lands super-well.

How dare you say anything is better than a superhero movie. Imagine the backlash if you said something was better than Marvel!

I think Dredd is better than quite a few Marvel movies.

Super hero movies are too numerous the last few years; give me a lot more TF movies!

The only franchises I care about rather than CBMs would be Transformers as well as Pirates of the Carribean, Fast & Furious, Mission: Impossible and some others.

I'm not sure what these two movies have to do with each other that warrants comparison; but sure whatever.

    They're both out right now?

There's also The Mummy. Those are the three big budget movies at the moment.

    Yay! My sentiments too.

Wonder Woman was nice, I enjoyed it, but that was it. Unlikely that I'll watch it in the theatres again, maybe only when it comes to cable.

But TLK, I left the cinema on a high and desperately want to see it again.

For most people, they want something character or story driven. But for me, a good movie is one with great spectacle. One that thrusts me up front and centre in an experience. And nothing delivers that better than Transformers.

    Me too
Superhero is smaller scaled by definition compared to tf. And honestly I'm a little bored by 8 superhero movies a year

Neither of these movies are out for me yet, but I'm sure beyond even the deepest darkest most remote corner of doubt, that Wonder Woman is the better film. But, I'll put my hands up, if they're the only two films showing, I'd probably go see TLK. Go figure.

I felt Wonder Woman was a bit more well rounded and made sense to me.

Like if WW killed some of the characters after 5 minutes of getting to know them like TLK did, or if Wonder Woman didn't at least put some effort into breaking the superhero movie mould a bit, I could see why you would like TLK more.

TLK was a beautiful film and focused a bit more on the Transformers than normal. But that was the only special thing about it. It didn't change anything about the films that I had seen before, it was the same exact film for a fifth time.

I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree. But I can agree that we are seeing way too many superhero films. It's really hard to keep up with all of them

I didn't even go see wonder woman lol. And I saw BMvSM and suicide squad in theaters. Theres just too many super hero films out there that it just starts to get old. I didnt wven go see dr. Strange. The only super hero movie I'm looking forward to that's coming soon is black panther, and maybe thor 3.

That said, as a transformers fan, I can't miss out on a tf film hitting the cinema. I just wish I can enjoy TLK the same way others are. But it just crushed all my expectations for everything AOE set up and what this movie was trying to go for.

I stopped caring about superhero movies after the disappointments of Age of Ultron and Civil War where, like everyone could have died and nothing happened, I like those movies but they are not that exciting anymore, like every 3 months we have a new one coming... idk. Transformers on the other hand gets me always soo freaking excited every single time!
