This thread is just a thought exercise, I do not have any secret info about this actually happening. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up. So, for those who may have been unaware, TFW2005 has a mascot, named Boombox. That's his head up there in the site banner. More info and images can be found HERE. Now, for the question: if one of the big 3rd party manufacturers decided to make a toy of this character, how do you think that would play out? Would you buy one? I think I'd want one, but then I start thinking about the moral implications that are often brought up regarding copyright infringement/idea theft for "normal" 3rd party items. Are they more applicable in this scenario? Or should there be no distinction? It would be interesting to hear from the people responsible for Boombox's creation on this subject.
