Hi all, this is a thread detailing articulation mods for rotf Jolt. let's start with some poses:

In this segment we'll look at articulation mods. I lost the picture demonstrating the hip mod, but I simply used a dremel to remove some of the ball socket to increase outward hip movement.
For the forward butterfly joint,I sawed off the sides of the gray back panel to increase the range of the joint

Next, I removed some plastic from the arm to create a double hinged elbow

Now we move on to the most complex mod, the ab crunch. I removed mech alive gimmick and incorporated a revoltech joint. I also removed the lower ab plastic and reattached it with some hinges. Here is the ab joint in neutral:

    And forwards.

    Transformation is 100% intact

Oh yeah, I also trimmed down the chin to improve neck articulation. I was considering incorporating a double hinge neck, but I don't think it's necessary. I think from here I'm just going to touch up the paint. Thanks for looking!

The fact that Hasbro finds it this fricken hard to add this articulation to modern ss figures is baffling.

    Also good custom!

Thanks, and to be fair its not the easiest adding articulation when you have to work around a transformation. I think Jolt was a just a happy accident, looking at other figures in the 2010 era, there's not a whole lot of highly poseable figures. Although SS wreck-gar and Legacy skyquake do have ab crunch.

Damn, all the cutting and shaving and you’d think it would be more cost efficient for Hasbro to have done it in the first place, excellent modification!
