I wish they would give the jets red eye stickers or tampos. Every Autobot that's been re issued multiple times have been give blue eyes (Inferno, Sideswipe, Jazz/Meister, Ratchet/Ironhide (kinda), Optimus). That would make me kinda consider buying the jets again.
Red eye tampos are probably not possible due to the plastic most likely being unpaintable plastic. I think they would have painted them by now were they able to. Randy
Yeah, I was gonna say. Those don't have any chrome anywhere on them. Can't wait for that Crystal Convoy to show up in the mail, though. That thing is beautiful! I also love the Mini-bots packaging.
Sunstreaker's too damn nice to be shown up by any Henkei 'poser. TC & SW are mine. I have 'Warp but I was really impressed with the tampos on SS and I really need TC. (not to mention the Encore boxes are SOOOOOOOOOOOO nice!) I'll use my current Skywarp as incomplete Skywarp, WOOP! Minibots = also mine.
No the G-1 seeker faces are paintable i have done them giving a Grayish color to Starscream, Sliver to TC and White to Skywarp so it could be done.
I'm not certain for sure (as this is simply a guess by me), but Hasbro's and Takara's unpaintable plastic is certainly paintable, but paint doesn't adhere to it like it does the other kind of plastic they typically paint. No, that's just the way Universe Prowl is... even in person! One minute he looks like the greatest TFs ever, then the next moment he looks like an awkward mess. It really depends on the pose and the angle you're looking at him from... zmog
Bummer! I was hoping we'd get an anime Thundercracker or some face paint apps.. That's about the only thing that would get me to purchase these figures again.
Well when I get prowl il have to paint the shoulder guns. Thats all it really needs. Still debating on geting sunstreaker in henkei, while henkei sunstreaker has a darker yellow but no doubt universe will be cheaper, I really dont care for any of the classics 2.0. I might get Prowl due to hes my fave tf, might get onslaught. Save money for animated.
I noticed that too. I thought perhaps it was just a scanner who was so famous, he decided to just go by a shape. Darn him, I wanted to be "white rectangle with rounded corners". Yeah, but I also see a 3150. So these will likely be released in October of the year 3150. Hmm, I usually don't go for G1 reissues... (though I am really upset I missed my chance at the TRU reissue Soundwave). Mostly its a matter of cost. But the minibots I might have to get. Have prices been announced? Or does anyone more knowledgeable than I have an estimate?
Hopefully we at least get tampos on Thundercracker and Skywarp's wings and nosecones. I bet these are still G1 figure placeholder photos, like the Henkei! photos are of the Universe versions that were manufactured first.
That's what I did; I painted the faces silver on all three of my reissue seekers, and gave them red eyes. I used Acrylic Tamiya, and had no problems whatsoever, with paint sticking or curing or anything like that. Just for the sake of argument. (Also, shameless plug, I'm trying to sell my 3 seekers )
