Back in 1995 after Hurricane Opal hit my town. That night I was at my parents house with no electricity and I was sitting in the den with a loaded 40 Cal Beretta I used to have.
The other bad thing about this is that I have a highschool orientation next week on Wednesday and I live 20 minutes from the GWB.
Are you going to stay in the house, or are you going to stay in the barn to keep Silverbolt calm? Me, I'd be in the barn, camping out near or above my horse, making it an adventure. --Moony
Yeah, I don't like him that much . He's lucky I'm staying! I'll be camping out in the house. My parent's said they would go to the shelter if the evacuation is mandatory. It's not mandatory YET, but might be. I'll stay with the pets and computer.
I live about 130 miles from New York city so I don't think I have much to worry about outside of heavy rain and wind. However to all the people that live along the coast I want to say good luck and I hope you make it through this okay.
I just want to add that the fatass Governor mentioned in my location wants us to "Get the Hell of the beach."
Yep. I'm fucked. Nah seriously I'm not at all concerned about this. If the power goes out we have plenty of food and I have my sketch pad to entertain me. I'm good t will probably be very weak when it reaches RI. Just alot of rain. Not worried about flooding either because my house is up on a hill.
Tom's probably gonna get it a lot worse than I am. It's probably going to glance us by whereas it looks like he's gonna get it head on.
Th gas stations and grocery stores were packed..... to the point that most gas stations were out of gas, and grocery stores were out of milk and water. I also live near philly. (Around 15-20 miles away) So I'm gonna get slammed by this storm.
gas stations around here were all out of unleaded and stores were completely out of bread and water only a few more hours till it hits here
im in southern maryland and weather.com says to expect heavy rain and wind but it says its supposed to only gust up to 25 miles an hour. yea i heard gas stations were running low on regular, but on the radio a woman said she tried the regular pump and gas came out. the station was scamming people into buying more expensive gas.
Just watching the weather channel..they are showing NC and NJ stories at the moment. Looks like there's been a few tornado touchdowns in NC so far..and more predicted. Please everybody, get in your safe places with supplies and stay there until this storm passes in your area. I keep a battery operated weather radio handy, if you have one, get it, at least it helps to hear what's happening should you lose power..and TV and netz. Best of luck to everyone, will be praying that all of you remain safe and sound.
