5 - 6 hours a week ( from 1:1 drawing to finished piece ) for the last 2 months and I'm calling it done. He is based roughly on Ben Proctor's Trailer Power Up Prime concept. I may go back in and drybrush his machine parts but I'm really liking the contrast between the black and the white right now. Most of his pose ability is still intact but I'm sure I don't need to tell you he does not transform anymore. I did not chop a HFTD Prime head. I instead made a mold of it and cast the front piece to use here. The pics I posted are the best of about 30. I'll try and get some more pics and maybe some "action" shots of him and post them in a response this weekend.

I have a humble request ..... If someone could take one of these photos and digitally recolor him in the red, white, and blue Ultra Magnus colors I would appreciate it. I am DYING to see what he'd look like in those colors.

Next on my Tf Project list is my Epic Devastator and Nemesis Prime ( like you've never seen him before, I promise .... )

This can't transform can it  ... This looks awesome as it is, but if you were able to make it transform, THAT would have made this WWWAAAAAAAYYYY over the top. Nice work regardless!

Yeah. Ultra Magnus is pretty freaking badass.

Thank you. But I think the design credit should go to Ben Procter. If i were to rate my own craftmanship, I'd give it about a 6 out of 10. I really should have smoothed out the edges in the plastic and tried a little harder to make cleaner cuts. I just got too anxious to get him done.

I didn't mention it earlier, but the Legends Jetfire figure actually detaches from the left arm and can be deployed as a kind of drone or recon bot. I really should of spent some time changing him up a bit but I just got a little too anxious to finish this project. Also, the firing mechanism in the right arm cannon still functions.

The head on Magnus was constructed using 13 pieces. I'm actually pretty damn proud of it. At first i didn't think it was gonna work but it turned out ok. I keep trying to get a pic of it close up but nothing seems to turn out decent enough to post. I'll keep trying.
