Maybe like the Highlander tv show, where they bring the movie actor in for only the pilot episode to hand things off to a much more affordable tv actor who will then carry the tv series.

It's not necessary but it would be nice to have a similar kind of feel to the original show with Bill Bixby.

Best way to transition a TV series from the movies. Great episode too. That series was good for the first 3 seasons, then kind of started to go off the rails on the last two.

She Hulk's original origin was she was a prosecutor for the DA. Bruce was hiding out at her place when the mob shot her. She was dying there was no time to get her to a hospital, so he gave her a transfusion.

Aren't these Disney+ Marvel shows getting film budgets though? If that's the case it's likely Ruffalo will be around for more than one episode.

I recently finished the Masterworks collection of her first dozen issues. I liked that, at least for a little while, she was a West Coast/So Cal hero.

That would be nice, however She-Hulk’s presence indicates that it will likely take on a more upbeat tone. Which is also fine in my opinion.

Pretty much. This is pretty much the future of storytelling. They’re long movies divided up into digestible chapters like books.

I'll see how the tone of the story goes: whether it's comical and fourth-wall breaking or serious, or a bit of both.

I am intrigued as to how She-Hulk's design will be. A simple green paint application on the actress can't cut it. They have to get the right muscle mass so she won't look pumped on steroids. And it looks like fanservice can't be avoided (no complaints from me, but it's got to be tasteful).

Fan service can be avoided if they base it on the modern version which I hope they don't

I want the classic version not the one above.

In todays society? Absolutely not, and for once I kinda agree. The original She-Hulk is pretty blatant in what it’s trying to be, and doesn’t make much sense compared to the immense transformation Hulk goes through.

I feel like they could easily make She-Hulk a supermodel Amazon without being overly fanservice laden. It's not like there can't be an inbetween of classic She-Hulk and Modern She-Hulk.

I’m confused, what exactly would be considered fan servicey for her?

My favorite look for her is her leotard, but she wears jeans or some other type of heavy duty pants over the bottom half. I believe that was a look she had in the second half of the 2000’s.

Now, I’m not huge on her current look either, but’s it’s getting there. She’s back to having green skin at least. An improvement over when this new look for her first appeared in the aftermath of Civil War II.

But yeah, portrayal will be tricky.

Aren't there any tall body builders or wrestlers that could look the part if painted green?

I think the canon goes that gamma enhancement is a bit like mutant powers, and that it varies from person to person. That's why you get characters like The Leader, who was affected by the exact same radiation that created The Hulk, but became something entirely different.

For Banner, the eventual explanation they came up with is that Bruce had repressed traumas due to childhood abuse, and most of that bottled up, unfocused anger is what created The Hulk (in some instances, it was a full-on split personality even before The Hulk was a thing). For Jen Walters, the transformation wasn't nearly as extreme because she had no such baggage. IIRC, she just had some self-esteem issues, so She-Hulk became the outgoing physical goddess she always kinda wanted to be. That she resembles The Hulk at all is more because it was Bruce's transformed DNA that created her, rather than being directly exposed to gamma radiation herself, for a more "pure" transformation.

Thats good, but she’s still 100% fanservice in portrayal. Theres no reason why they can’t find a middle ground and make her less buff then Hulk, but also a lot more tactful in outfit design.

Oh, I'm sure she's not going to be as fanservice-y as her comic portrayal. I was just responding to your end point there that her transformation isn't as extreme as her cousin's.

Depends on which direction they go. If they go with the classic version, there's probably some that can act, probably unknowns through a casting call. If they decide to base her on the more recent versions where her mass and height are beyond even FBB limits, they may have to CGI her like her male counterpart.

As for which direction they can go, It's hard to predict. They could go classic, maybe Marvel will make a push for the current version to become accepted, maybe some sort of mix. For all we know, maybe Disney + Jen will have as many different types of transformations as comics Bruce does.
