I haven't thought of an origin for them and I don't know if Optimus Primal would appear as himself. Either way, how would you feel if Season 3 was a perfect excuse to somewhat revive Beast Wars?

 

We don't need Maximals whenever Predacons appear, let them have the entire beastformer spotlight for once.

 

I'd would be happy, but if only they are new characters and not TFP versions of the Maximals from Beast Wars.

That's why I loved Beast Wars, it was all new. As much as I loved the characters I grew up with, I will always favor new characters over what has came before.

 

I would honestly be quite upset and it would be an utter load of BS that would probably sour my feelings for Prime. I'd probably quit watching it or at least wait until it died before I give it another chance. And that is a lot to be said coming from someone that is as addicted to the show as I am. The reason I feel this way is because the Predacons predate the Beast Era. Just because a faction that recycles the Predacon name pops up doesn't mean we NEED the Maximals. Don't get me wrong I don't hate Beast Wars (Beast Machines can die in a fiery pit), and I'm fine with robot animals. I LOVE Insecticons and Dinobots and I understand animal bots have been there since G1 but I don't want another Beast Era. I doubt it will happen, but, I'm praying Beast Hunters isn't going to try to be Beast Machines.

 

My memory of Beast Wars is sketchy but when I heard "Predacons" my first thought was Robots in Disguise as opposed to Beast Wars.

My idea for a subtle nod comes from fans hoping for a game or something similar from High Moon Studios.

 

Like how they were in G1, or RiD.

Ehh...I liked the Maximals in Beast Wars an all but they were far from my favorite. So naw, if any other animal based transformers appear other than the few we already know about, let it be the dinobots.

 

How about when the Dinobot team comes to fight the predacons. They are another Autobot Unit In a big ship lead by Grimlock adding on to the dinobot core forces With T-Wrecks, Striker, and Triceradon for beast wars fans.

I like what their doing to mix the homages up with predacons, from stuff like beast wars, RID, and G1 Something for everyone.

 

I'd prefer just the Predacons themselves, but I wouldn't complain if the Maximals were added in some way.

I'd love to see Maximals come back, it'd be awesome to see an onscreen team-up of Maximals and Autobots.

It'be also interesting to see how they'd be reimagined.

If there is a Beast Wars in the aligned continuity, of course I want the Maximals. I don't want the same names, though. Almost all of the BW characters have generic names (Dinobot, Cheetor, Tigatron, Rhinox, Waspinator, etc.). Hell, I'd be fine if they called Dinobot Chopperface instead

If they were to write in the Maximals in such a way as to make sense, I don't see why the Autobots wouldn't accept the help. The origins of the Maxamals and Predacons were always hinted to but were never fully developed. (yes the Universe comics touched on it, but not in any official way.) I think it would be cool to see the BW factions develop in a story rather than have to just accept them in a new series.
