How would you do the Transformers films differently?

What with all the recent discussions about the TF movies, I started wondering - if you were given the opportunity to do the TF films all over again... how would you do them differently?

    Transformers

    - The film's prologue is Bumblebee being chased through the Mojave desert by Barricade. When Bumblebee declares that he will never talk, Barricade smirks and remarks that he should choose his words more carefully, before ripping his voice box out, gunning him down and leaving him for dead.
    - I'd have made Mikaela the main protagonist - I would have retooled aspects of Sam's character (e.g. possesses the map to the AllSpark) and reconfigured them into her. I would have removed the "hackers" subplot and made Maggie Mikalea's sort-of-nerdier best friend and source of goofy comic relief...basically a same-gender Charlie and Memo, I suppose.
    - We have a few scenes establishing Mikaela's life - she's a bit of a social outcast, her parents died when she was very young and she helps out at her uncle's used car depot after school. Her maternal great-great-grandfather was an Arctic explorer and his glasses are her family heirloom. One day, a banged-up VW Beetle is hauled in - Bumblebee.
    - Whilst repairing the car, Mikalea finds out that it is, in fact, a transforming robot. After a brief Abbott and Costello-style scene where Mikaela and Bumblebee try to get through the communication barrier, they eventually settle on the "radio talk" thing. Maggie and Mikalea's uncle later find out about 'Bee.
    - After the Blackout base attack, the Qatar subplot proceeds as it did in the film, with one change - Lennox is only the second-in-command of his unit. During the firefight, his commanding officer is killed by Scorponok. Scorponok retreats and reunites with the other Decepticons. Lennox and his unit are rescued by the US military - however, they get a call from "S7", who want to see them...
    - Using the depot's website, Barricade arrives at the depot, searching for Bumblebee and the glasses - Mikalea's uncle refuses to give Bumblebee up and is killed by Frenzy (on Barricade's orders); Bumblebee fights Barricade and Mikalea decapitates Frenzy with a chainsaw. Mikaela, Maggie and an injured Bumblebee get away, with the glasses. In order to proceed undetected, Bumblebee scans a Camaro as a new alt-mode is there they meet up with the other Autobots - Optimus, Jazz, Ratchet and Ironhide. The meeting is interrupted by Sector Seven, who capture Mikaela, Maggie and Bumblebee.
    - Simmons is a bit nicer here - he sincerely gives Mikaela condolences on the death of her uncle and, as soon as he realises Bumblebee is on their side, immediately gets him repaired.
    - At Hoover Dam, there's a brief lull where Mikaela, Maggie and the soldiers have a bit of a chat - Mikaela and Lennox bond over their lost parental figures (this relationship is totally paternalistic). Eventually, they are shown the AllSpark and Megatron.
    - Basically everything leading up to the Mission City battle happens as it did in the actual film - except Frenzy escapes after thawing Megatron out, and Barricade is smashed into a pillar by Ironhide (he survives this). As well as this, Scorponok joins the Decepticons in the battle and Blackout isn't killed. Mikalea kills Megatron by jamming the AllSpark into his chest. Starscream and Blackout (with Scorponok), after watching Megatron die, retreat.

Transformers: Ghosts of Yesterday (retitled Revenge of the Fallen)
    - Leo is reworked into a female character - Leona (yeah, I know, I suck at renaming), who is Mikalea's roommate and an archaeology student. She's found out something odd about the Egyptian pyramids - this is a merger of the theory that they correlate to Orion's belt and that they act as a sundial. Little does she know, she's actually found evidence of the Sun Harvester.
    - The "Twins" are gone - instead, it's Arcee who accompanies Bumblebee for most of the film. She'd have her 2007 design, with a head inspired by her TF: Prime counterpart. There'd be an indication that she and Bumblebee have worked together before. Chromia would have a similar look and serve essentially the same purpose for Lennox and/or Epps; there's no Elita-1. Ironhide and Chromia banter frequently, indicating some form of past history between them. Both bikes survive the film.
    - Wheelie's role is split between Rattrap and Waspinator. Whilst Rattrap has Wheelie's fast-talking Brooklyn accent and overall personality, Waspinator would be a bit of a sweeter, more innocent comic relief - sort of think Dobby the house-elf from Harry Potter. Rattrap attempts to steal the shard from Maggie's house, whilst Waspinator sneaks into Mikalea and Leona's room in order to steal the latter's information. Both would join the Autobots.
    - Instead of the Fallen, Liege Maximo is the ancient Prime who Starscream and co. have fallen in line with. And, rather than being Megatron's master all along, it's made clear that Maximo has only contacted the Decepticons recently and offered them an alliance. He'd be a shadowy presence for most of the film, only fully emerging at the finale - throughout, he vaguely implies that he is aiding the Decepticons on behalf of a greater power.
    - The resurrection gambit remains the same - however, rather than ripping apart one of the Constructicons, the Decepticons use the remains of Brawl, still in the Laurentian Abyss to replace Megatron's parts. Megatron, therefore, becomes a Triple Changer (going from Cybertronian tank to Cybertronian jet).
    - The scene on the Nemesis is slightly different, since Megatron and Maximo are having their first meeting here - Megatron is pissed off at having to serve a Prime, however, he reluctantly concedes. It's also made clear that Maximo does not necessarily share the Decepticons' aims of restoring Cybertron, but is aiding them because their goals mutually coincide. Speaking of which...
    - Maximo would be a shadowy presence for most of the film - he would only fully emerge from his prison at the finale. Throughout, Maximo would vaguely imply that he is aiding the Decepticons on behalf of a greater power (which is NOT Unicron, although the film sort of leads you to believe that it is).
    - Alice is gone - instead, Mikalea and Leona get drunk at a party and end up picked up by Barricade, who was tipped off by Waspinator. Maggie and Bumblebee arrive and save them from him, before they are abducted by Blackout, who takes them to the abandoned warehouse. The forest fight remains the same - however, Blackout isn't killed.
    - All the stuff about the Seekers, the Language of the Primes and their finding Jetfire is the same as in the actual film.
    - Jetfire tells them the story of the War of the Primes - the Thirteen Primes are based off the Aligned Thirteen. Basically, Maximo betrayed the Primes over the "don't destroy planets with life" rule and it led to a civil war among the Primes. The Matrix was taken from Maximo by the winning side and hidden on Earth.
    - The way they find the Matrix is almost the same as in the actual film - obviously, there's no bickering Twins. The Matrix does not turn to dust.
    - Whilst the soldiers bring the body of Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Blackout rendezvous at the pyramid, where they summon reinforcements - including the Constructicons. Midway through the battle, the Constructicons merge into Devastator, who keeps his quadrupedal, ape-like design - however, he has no "wrecking balls and has a more gorilla-like head. He's also quite a bit smaller. Despite the Autobots' attempts, they are unable to stop Devastator from reaching the pyramid.
    - Mikalea uses the Matrix to revive Optimus - that is when Maximo arrives, curbstomping Optimus and seriously injuring Jetfire. Jetfire sacrifices himself to donate pieces for Optimus and Optimus gets his flight upgrade. Optimus beats the shit out of Megatron and Maximo - doing the "shoot half of Megatron's face off" thing here.
    - There is no "give me your face" scene here - rather, Maximo attempts to do the same gambit Megatron did in the '86 movie... and Optimus coldly shoots him in the head. Megatron immediately orders a retreat.
    - In the mid-credits scene, the remaining Decepticons are hiding out in Africa, where Starscream is taunting Megatron about "his" failure (even though it was Starscream who ended up making the alliance with Maximo in the first place). Megatron is about to beat the stuffing out of him when a Russian MiG jet circles above them. Landing, the jet reveals itself... as Shockwave (using the first movie Dreadwing toy design with a new head).

    Transformers: Dark of the Moon
    - Shockwave gets much more focus than he did in the actual DOTM - it's he, not Soundwave, who had all the human contacts. He arrived on Earth during the 1960s, following the discovery of a Cybertronian vessel on the Moon and has spent the past few decades monitoring the planet.
    - Mikalea and Maggie are living together, with Rattrap and Waspinator. They basically are a lesbian couple and Rattrap and Waspinator are their kids, although the film never states it; subtext, you see.
    - Whilst most of the Decepticons are scattered, Megatron and the Decepticon inner circle, now joined by Shockwave, are hiding out in South Africa. Megatron has taken on an Earth mode - two Earth modes, to be precise, to reflect his status as a Triple Changer. His ground mode is a South African Roikat eight-wheeler, whilst his aerial alt mode is a Denel Rooivalk attack helicopter. Megatron is starting to hear voices, however...
    - Shockwave reveals to Megatron the list of human contacts he had and the Decepticons start terminating them. The "is your daddy home?" scene is lengthened - the Decepticons get information out of Bob Singer by threatening his daughter's life. Then, it's subtly implied that Shockwave blows up the house and kills the whole family.
    - Mikalea gets a job at Accuretta Systems where she meets Jerry Wang, who surreptitiously leaves a USB drive on her desk. Laserbeak sneaks into the office and kills Wang. Much of the Russian cosmonaut stuff is unchanged.
    - Dylan Gould is still in this, but he's merged somewhat with Bruce Brazos - he's Mikalea's boss at Accuretta. How did Laserbeak get in? Gould let him. He shows his true colours roughly when he did in the actual film.
    - Rather than the Ark, the ship on the moon is actually a stasis-locked Omega Supreme, the last of the Omega Sentinels, who carried Nova Prime on his great mission of exploration across the galaxy. Omega transforms, and immediately swears fealty to Optimus. Omega is, however, vague about the true purpose of his mission
    - The Pillars are still there; however, they are used for a different purpose here. There's only five Pillars here, rather than hundreds. The voice in Megatron's head orders him to steal the pillars and bring them to a specific spot. The Decepticons bust into the headquarters at Washington DC and steal them.
    - At last, we reveal who Megatron's been hearing in his head - Nova Prime. Near the Washington Monument, the Pillars are activated, Nova is transported to Earth and Megatron rallies the Decepticons from all over the world to his side... the final invasion of Earth begins.
    - The Autobots are exiled from Earth in the Xantium - Wheeljack is introduced here as the Autobot mechanic in charge of repairing the Xantium - he has a Brooklyn accent and he's not the nicest guy.
    - The Decepticons invade Chicago in preparation for Nova's plan - to use the Seed, an ancient Cybertronain artefact, to cyberform Earth. There's a reason why they can't transport Cybertron - it's mentioned that the pillars don't have the energy to move an entire planet.
    - Mikalea and Maggie recruit Epps and a bunch of mercenaries to enter Chicago, but are discovered by a Decepticon sentry. However, the Autobots reveal themselves as Not Dead and kill the sentry.
    - Much of the final battle proceeds as it did in the actual film - aside from the fact that Laserbeak, Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave aren't killed, Midway through Optimus and Nova's battle, Maggie gives Megatron a "what-for", mocking him for being Nova's puppet. Enraged, Megatron attacks the ancient Prime, who kills him - whilst he is distracted, Optimus destroys the Seed and kills Nova, bringing an end to the dark Prime's life. The surviving Decepticons scatter and Optimus and the Autobots stand and accept Earth as their true home.

    Part 2 coming soon!

Anyway, if you were given the opportunity to do the TF films, how would you do them differently?

I mean, if I had done the movies (from the ground up), they'd have been entirely different. I probably would have done something more G1 focused and more like Bumblebee.

If I had to stick closely to the existing films (like, if I were a producer making demands), I'd mostly remove the crude/dumb humor and majorly cut down the human-only drama. Stuff like Sam's high-school/college life and him looking for a job. I feel like that would give the illusion that the robots have more screentime (which is exactly what they did with Bumblebee, there was supposed to be more stuff with Charlie and her friends/family). I'd probably try to keep each movie around the two-hour mark, and make them as concise as possible. Even with their storytelling problems, I feel like those changes would help the movies a lot.

    YouTube (Legacy):
I'd choose the 2007 movie as it is just changing the protagonist to Mikaela, the girl that wants to be something more than a pretty face and is being sorrounded by idiots who only treat her for the way she looks, being her the one that becomes friends with bumblebee and delivers the final blow on Megatron, while Sam is his own self as comic relief, helping somehow in the battle by being bait running like he did. that'd be my only change to the movie.

I wouldn't have the damn camera shaking during every action scene and I wouldn't crank the colour saturation up to the high heavens. Good Lord, I never understood why the colour saturation was so sharp in those movies.

Tone down the excessive toilet humor and keep the movies focused on the transformers and their mythology.
I also would also want the characters to speak when in alt mode. Like how Starscream spoke in TF2 before firing missiles at Bumblebee.

Without voices they just look like car commercials.

From there the movies would be original and not try to be another movie.

There's hardly a single thing about them I'd retain. It's not the case that you just take out all the lowbrow comedy and suddenly you have a good movie. You'd have to start from the ground up.

    Here's Part 2!

    Transformers: Age of Extinction
    - Setup is mostly the same - Cemetery Wind hunts Earth's remaining Transformers, who have gone into hiding. The opening is the battle in Mexico City - Chromia is killed and Bumblebee is seriously injured taking a shot meant for Optimus and the Autobots are forced to scatter and abandon him. Tessa is a lot more proactive here than she was in the actual fillm - she gets herself out of most of the jams she finds herself in.
    - Instead of Lockdown, Cemetery Wind has made a deal with the Decepticon inner circle, now led by Starscream (Soundwave, Shockwave, Barricade, Blackout, Ravage and Laserbeak). However, Starscream and co are planning on betraying Attinger when the time is right.
    - Joshua Joyce and KSI play pretty much the exact role they did in the film - reverse-engineering dead Transformers in order to make transforming combat drones (because Attinger plans on getting rid of Starscream). Joyce has also found Megatron's AllSpark fragment, as well as a module that Sector Seven used in an attempt to interface with the AllSpark However, Joyce is starting to hear a voice - Megatron's voice. The KSI drones do not do the nano-metal thing - in fact, they're basically the Vehicons from Beast Machines (which they will be referred to as from now on)
    - It's a stasis-locked Bumblebee Cade finds, rather than Optimus Prime. However, Cemetery Wind and the Decepticons have tracked 'Bee's energy signature to the Yeager house... When they arrive, Bumblebee attempts to give himself up, rather than see Cade and Tessa die. However, the Decepticons decide to kill them anyway.
    - Shane saves Cade and Tessa - however, during the escape, Starscream damages his car to the point where they have to abandon it in favour of riding in Bumblebee. However, Cade manages to get one of the KSI tracking drones (which resembles a Diagnostic Drone from Beast Machines).
    - Shane is a more sympathetic character - rather than the "smug tosser" he was in the film, he's more of a sweet, slightly charming character, with a little bit of an awkward side, who bonds with Bumblebee. His dad walking out on the family when he was five is a key part of his character, which feeds into his attempts to get Cade to like him.
    - The "Romeo and Juliet law" scene is totally removed - instead, Cade is mad that Tessa and Shane have kept their relationship secret from him... and Shane's attempts at explaining himself to Cade fail. Miserably.
    - Bumblebee meets up with the surviving Autobots - Optimus, Ironhide, Arcee, Wheeljack, Sideswipe, Rattrap and Waspinator. They are accompanied by a small group of Decepticon mooks (based on the MTMTE Scavengers) who have allied with the Autobots to escape Cemetery Wind.
Cade shows everyone the KSI drone - we see footage of the Transformer hunts, including Ratchet's death. It's important that the deaths are an equal mix of Autobots and Decepticons - from the drone, they find out that KSI is involved and make a plan to storm the Chicago factory.
    - The plan is as follows - Cade will sneak in with a faux-ID pass, cooked up by Wheeljack, whilst Tessa, Shane will pose as civillians handing in a captured Rattrap, with Bumblebee and Arcee (with Energon dampeners to mask their energy signatures) accompanying them on the off-chance. Little character moments shine in here - Shane and Bumblebee share a little bit of banter, whilst it's made clear that Tessa and Rattrap do not like each other. Rattrap hacks KSI's mainframe and manages to steal some data from the system - including the schematics for the KSI combat drones. However, KSI's security grid manages to lock him out and alerts Joyce to the hacking. At the same time, Cade is caught in the same way as the actual film and is interrogated by Attinger.
    - The Autobots break into the factory, destroying the laboratory and rescuing Cade and the others, where Joyce does the "we don't need you" speech to Optimus. Disgusted, the Autobots leave. Enraged, Attinger has Joyce send two Vehicons (a tank and a jet) to hunt down the Autobots. However, midway through the chase, the Vehicons suddenly gain a will of their own, destroying things indiscriminately; both of the Vehcons are destroyed, before one of them, dying, briefly speaks with Megatron's voice. At this point, Starscream and Cemetery Wind's Decepticons enter, gunning down Optimus and taking him and Tessa prisoner.
    - Joyce, angered about Attinger's collaboration with Starscream and co, as well as the drones malfunctioning, threatens to turn Attinger to the CIA and end their deal. However, Attinger threatens him; if Joyce attempts to turn Attinger in, Attinger will drag Joyce down with him. Megatron reveals to Joyce a vision of Cybertron consuming Earth to break him and states that the only way Joyce can stop this is to let him out...
    - At Starscream and co's base of operations - a scrapyard - Prime is violently interrogated by Starscream, whilst Tessa is left fighting for her life against Ravage - however, she manages to defeat him. The Autobots bust in and save Prime and Tessa and fight the Decepticons. It is here the Autobots find out Starscream did not sabotage the drones (Optimus and the audience know that it was Megatron's ghost) - the fight is interrupted by Omega Supreme, who has been hiding on Earth during the time gap. The Decepticons pursue them - and manage to shoot Omega Supreme down over China, separating Cade, Shane, Tessa, Bumblebee and Arcee from the rest of the group, leaving them in Hong Kong to fight the Decepticons and Vehicons.
    - Meanwhile, at the China facility, Joyce, through constant prodding by Megatron, places Megatron's AllSpark fragment, as well as Sector Seven's interface module into a triple-changing Vehicon body. At this point his mind is his own again... and he realises what he's just done! Megatron busts out of the KSI facility and takes command of the Vehicons Heading to Hong Kong, he kills Attinger and orders a full-out invasion of Earth.
    - Contacting Optimus' group, they meet up with Joyce; Joyce admits his mistakes to Optimus, saying that he was misled and manipulated, and asks for forgiveness. Optimus, reluctantly forgives him. In KSI's deep freeze, Joyce reveals the Dinobots - stasis-locked for thousands of years. They are thawed out... and Grimlock immediately recognises Prime. The Dinobots are an Autobot unit who went missing on Earth thousands of years ago - however, Joyce convinces them all to work together. They fly off into Omega Supreme towards Hong Kong.
    - In Hong Kong, meanwhile, Cade, Tessa, Shane, Arcee and Bumblebee are outnumbered ten-to-one and severely outgunned - suddenly, Optimus' group (including the Scavengers, who've decided to stay with the Autobots) arrive and tear through the Vehicons, whilst Optimus engages Megatron. Joyce is able to use a viral code to sever Megatron's hold over the Vehicons - having lost the advantage, the Decepticons retreat, with Megatron enigmatically hinting at the presence of a greater threat.
    - Optimus makes a speech in the aftermath, saying that he will leave Earth in exchange for the Autobots' amnesty - Earth's governments agree. Optimus leaves, renouncing his name as Prime and reinstating old name, Orion Pax.

Transformers: The Last Prime (The Last Knight retitled)
    - The setup is basically the same - Cemetery Wind has been disbanded and is replaced by a new organisation - Skywatch, which tracks down the Decepticon stragglers on Earth. Mikaela, Maggie, Lennox and Epps return as part of Skywatch. Anti-Transformer sentiment is high, with multiple anti-Transformer groups being formed and injured Transformers sometimes being killed by prejudiced humans. However, more keep arriving - for an unknown reason.
    - Cade, Tessa and Shane have been operating out of a junkyard in South Dakota, much like the actual film, with the remaining Autobots - they've been granted amnesty, but are still in hiding, due to anti-Transformer groups. They've been saving injured Transformers and fixing them - one day, in Wyoming, a Transformer named Backbite chooses to commit suicide rather than come with them. Before dying, he enigmatically states that the world is going to end and that something from the past is coming...

    - Pax's search has taken him to the ruins of Cybertron - he lands and explores the planet, before he is attacked and subdued by a group of monstrous Cybertronians. He is brought to the Cybertronians' master - Prima, the original Transformer! Prima briefly berates Pax for letting Cybertron fall - however, he offers Pax a chance at redemption...
    - At the junkyard, Cade's group are surprised when Megatron and the Decepticons arrive on the gates of the scrapyard, asking for a truce - Earth's future depends on it. As he says this, a strange energy wave begins to appear in space... Using one of Nova Prime's pillars, Megatron transports the group to Kenya, where the War of the Primes was fought three million years ago. As they enter a chamber, they see a group of fourteen sleeping Transformers - all but one are beast-formers.
    - As Megatron explains, these Transformers are the rebel Primes Megatronus and Onyx, accompanied by Onyx Prime's Maximals. Megatronus looks like his RID counterpart, whilst Onyx turns into a gigantic dragon (think Prime Predaking). The ancient Transformers are awoken - and the truth is revealed!
    - On Cybertron, Prima restores Pax's title as Prime - Nemesis Prime. Prima's plan, it's revealed, is basically to have Cybertron consume Earth, with Earth's raw materials being used to agument Cybertron - Prima is planning on doing this with other worlds, too. Optimus has been brainwashed into going along with it.
    - Onyx and Megatronus reveal the true story - believing Cybertronians to be the superior life form, Prima wanted to wipe out all non-Cybertronian life in the galaxy Solus Prime, her lover Megatronus and Onyx, horrified by this, led a rebellion against him, a rebellion which had its final battle on Earth. The rebel Primes won, and Prima was driven from Earth, but at a cost - Solus Prime was dead, killed taking a shot meant for Megatronus and the Thirteen's forces had fractured into warring tribes. Megatronus, Onyx and the Maximals decided to stay on Earth to protect the primitive hominids there and guide them in case Prima ever returned. Megatron reveals their plan - reconstitute the AllSpark, which will give them a weapon to stop Prima. Story-time is interrupted as Cybertron appears in the sky above Earth, triggering dramatic changes.
    - Skywatch, meanwhile, have tracked Cade's group to Kenya - a brief stand-off is interrupted by Nemesis Prime, as well as Prima's forces. Skywatch and the Cybertronians team up - however, Bumblebee manages to break Prima's hold on Optimus, freeing him from the ancient Prime's control. Seeing this, Prima attempts to kill Optimus as there can only be one Prime - him. The Autobots, Decepticons and Maximals team up to stop Prima from destroying Earth.
    - The battle is long and heated, with Optimus, Megatronus and Megatron fighting Prima. Meanwhile, using Mikalea's shard and the AllSpark interface module. Cade's group begin reconstituting the AllSpark. Megatron, seriously injured in the battle, donates his fragment to finish the process, killing him in the process.
    - Megatronus and Optimus sacrifice themselves to kill Prima and stop Cybertron from consuming Earth, causing it to crumble into dust (giving Earth rings). Soundwave briefly bemoans the loss of their homeworld - however, Bumblebee reassures him... they have the AllSpark - the key to a new generation of Cybertronian life. And so, united for the first time, Autobots, Decepticons and humans begin the process of making a new home on Earth.

    And, some time later... reboot!

You can do them from the ground-up if you want - basically, there are no bad ideas. You can build on the outlines of the basic movies, or just chuck it all away and start from scratch. All I want to hear is your ideas.

After being frustrated by the stupidity and inconsistency shown after the third movie came out, I hammered out a script (well, half a script). It's been a lot of years, and I never bothered to finish it, but...

I agree with these posts. You could add a Starscream betrayal subplot to the first movie with a few extra lines, no new footage necessary.

I disagree - take out all of the lowbrow comedy and make the continuity tighter and you could make a really good quintilogy out of them... as I've just demonstrated.

Do you think I should write them up into proper scripts and put them on the fanfiction section on this site?

If I could do the existing Transformers films differently? Heh-heh-heh...

Instead of just wondering what could have been, if I was in Paramount's shoes right now I'd ride out COVID-19 and the studio's own recent financial stresses for another few years...and then just flat-out re-make the 2007 movie in time for its 20th anniversary:
    * Put a new (at least for the franchise) director, writers, composer, etc. on it. New cast, too, even though they'd essentially be playing the same characters that were in the '07 movie.
    * Root it into the continuity established by "Bumblebee" and forget about everything that came before that. This might require bumping the events and characters of the '07 movie into later in the chronology to keep it contemporary to this one's release, but that might help freshen things up.
    * Keep the simplified robot designs. Again, I really like Lazslo's Bayverse-BumbleGee1 mixes, so you could almost get away with just hauling the old vehicles out again if you don't want to spend the cash on updating those specific models or just plain going after new/different ones to match the BumbleGee1 designs.
    * Re-purpose script ideas that weren't used the first time where appropriate. Again, I'd be totally down for seeing the Army guys hunted by Ravage in the jungle just for the sheer "Predator"ness of it.
    * Conversely, minimize the global pinballing and keep the action localized as much as possible; just have the government/S7 show up and set up base camp wherever 'Bee surfaces instead of going from Washington to Qatar to Sam's Happytown U.S.A. to Hoover Dam and back again (again, since this'd be rooted in "Bumblebee", they should probably already be keeping an eye out for 'Bee anyway). The jungle stuff mentioned above can be relatively easily facilitated by hopping on over to Kauai just like 90 percent of all Hollywood movies that take place in the jungle. On a related note...
    * Kick the "Ancient Aliens: A Drunk History Special" B.S. to the curb. Between Bayformers, the MCU and the DCEU, I think Hollywood's gotten all the mileage it needs out of the Ancient Space-Magic Cube trope.
    * Likewise, can the dipsh** comedy. I think Bayformers gave the world enough jokes involving robots and pee to last through the ages (and yes, two such jokes is enough for that). On another related note...
    * Whittle down the number of unnecessary human characters. Seriously, Judy and Glen I could probably do without - if losing the former means making Ron a widower it might actually mean grounding his relationship with Sam a little more, which again would help cut back on the dipsh**tery. Also, combine Mikaela and Maggie into one character, likewise Simmons and Banacek.
    * Similarly, whittle down the robot numbers to save on CGI. I'd ditch Jazz just to get rid of the stereotyping, and since both Barricade and Blackout started out as attempts at Soundwave I would just use HIM instead (though I'd probably still keep Frenzy in addition to Ravage).

Likewise, the first sequel to this would probably be loosely adapted from the unused ROTF treatment, with characters who were rather arbitrarily introduced in the second half of that treatment set up earlier in the film so that their appearance isn't so out of left field.

Whichever and however I'd make TF films, I would tie them into a universe shared with other adaptations of Hasbro brands

If I did them differently I would have to direct new scenes for each film in order for the special editions of each film to arrive

Have their be a Scene where a Decepticon ship lands in the Arctic (Explaining how Megatron got on earth)

Some of the History of Cybertron is Explored

Autobot Lineup: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Jazz Prowl.

Decepticon Line-Up: Megatron, Starscream, Barricade, Soundwave, Wreckage, Shockwave, Laserbeak

Hightower and Overload would be in this Version of mine

Sideswipe duels Sideways in my Version

    No Butt Jokes or Comedy

Barricade would be in this Version

Springer, Depthcharge and Breakaway would also be in this since the Final Film cut all Three Autobots from it and are part of NEST's Autobots

Ransack and a Decepticon Submariner are in this

Rumble would be in this and be a Human in Disguise

Don't make Jetfire into a Old Autobot more Screentime give him his G1 Appearance

No Alice replace her with Rumble

Liege Maximo is the Main Antagonist of the Film and is Megatron's Master

The Autobots in my Version have more Screentime and more Dialogue and more Action (Examples Jolt and Sideswipe with Sunstreaker and Ratchet having more Screentime and having more Scenes with him being in Robot Mode at NEST)

Topspin being voiced by Bill Fagerbakke

The Scene where Sam and Sentinel at the Playground is in my Version of Dark of the Moon

More Screentime with both Autobots and Decepticons and Humans get less Screentime.

Omega Supreme is in Place of the Ark and is in Stasis Lock

    The Superfund Truck is Scrapheap

Ultra Magnus would be in this film as Sentinel Prime's Bodyguard until his Betrayal not knowing what he was going to do.

Have Dialogue for both Autobots and Decepticons in the Battle of Chicago

Don't kill off all of the Decepticons keep some Decepticons like Starscream, Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave and Laserbeak, Alive in this only kill the Protoforms and some of the Decepticons.

Warpath and Silverbolt would be in my Version of Dark of the Moon

Jolt electrocutes Shockwave during the Battle of Chicago but he doesn't make it out as if Shockwave kills him

It is Shockwave and Blitzwing as the Main Antagonists and Sentinel Prime is the Secondary Antagonist and is renamed Zeta Prime

Wheeljack and Mirage would both Survive

    Cliffjumper would be in this

The Dreads are renamed: Dreadwing, Hooligan, Dirt Bag

Ironhide Lives instead of being Killed (No Offense)

Bludgeon would also Appear in the Film

    No Decepticon Clones or Macguffins

Deadlock would appear in this and Start off as a Decepticon like Jetfire in the Second Film but later in my Version would rename himself as Drift and Join the Autobots

    No Driller

Sentinel Prime in this Version is not an Antagonist and he would've never made a Deal with Megatron but would still die it is rather than Nova Prime that makes a Deal with Megatron

    No Macguffin Decepticons

Laserbeak, Starscream, Ravage, Barricade, Soundwave and Shockwave are not killed and they escaped while the Remaining Decepticon Forces Escape along with some of the Decepticons that Escape with Laserbeak, Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave don't know who

    Age of Extinction

Ironhide, Prowl, Wheeljack, Jetfire, Sideswipe and Arcee would've have been Among the Autobot Casualties from Cemetery Wind alongside Ratchet and Leadfoot

More Footage of how the Autobots were hunted down by Cemetery Wind

    Explore more of the Dinobots

Cemetery Wind would have made a Deal with the Decepticons

Instead of Lockdown making a Deal with Cemetery Wind it is Shockwave, Soundwave, Ravage, Barricade, Laserbeak and Brawl

At the end of the Film once Optimus Prime leaves to find the Creators he leaves Ultra Magnus in Charge of the Autobots and Dinobots

Robert Epps replaces Lucas for the Film as if he is Retired from Nest and takes Care of Cade Yeager and his Daughter and helps the Autobots.

    The Last Knight

The Dinobots are the Knights in this not just the Dragons as Knights and the Dinobots get more Screentime in this and they are in the Final Battle

Not only Topspin is in Cuba but Mirage, Depthcharge and Roadbuster would be in Cuba as Well (Which explains why they didn't get slain by Lockdown). And give Topspin his Head from Dark of the Moon not Leadfoot's Head

Sqweeks is now Fix-It (Similar to Robots in Disguise in 2015)

One scene on how Galvatron and Quintessa Met Up

The Elite Guard would be in this Composing of Ultra Magnus, Warpath, Springer Perceptor, Hot Rod (G1) Blurr, Kup and Sunstreaker. With Sunstreaker and Springer being at Edmond Burton's Castle explaining their Survival and their Escape from Cemetery Wind.

NEST will return after Isabella kills Santos for Killing Canopy

Instead of Wheelie it is now Rattrap and Waspinator at the Junkyard

    More Transformations

Hot Rod would not be French and be more Faithful to his G1 Counterpart

Combine Darcy and Vivian's Character into One with Sophia Myles reprising her role

The Submarine Autobot would have more of a Role rather than just being in Alternate Mode she would also transform

    Daytrader is now Wreck-Gar

    No Mini Dinobots

Bulldog is now Renamed Twin Twist

Ravenspar would be a Decepticon in this one

Additional Decepticons in this Besides Mohawk, Dreadbot, Berserker, Onslaught are...

    Offroad
    Knockout
    Lugnut
    Ramjet
    Flatline
    Dustclash
    Ravenspar
    Vortex
    Dreadwing
    Mindwipe
    Cyclonus
    Blast Off

Don't bring out a lot of Decepticon Protoforms

The Autobots in this Version would come to London (Since the Scene was Cut out in the Final Film for no reason)

Little more of Nemesis Prime (Actually Optimus Prime isn't Nemesis Prime it is Instead Scourge would be Nemesis Prime)

Drift gets killed Off by Megatron

No Aspect Ratio Changes Keep the Aspect Ratio to 2:39:1

Transformers 6 would be done my way...

Transformers 6: Five Faces of Darkness

No Ties to Michael Bay Travis Knight is the new Director of the Film

    The Remaining Autobots rebuild Cybertron

At Least One or Two Autobots will Die or a Few Autobots will die

Possibly this version of what was going to be was to stop Unicron

It is unknown whether my version will have New Autobots and Decepticons

Autobot Lineup: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Hound, Crosshairs, Mirage, Roadbuster, Topspin, Steeljaw, Warpath, Sunstreaker, Blurr,Omega Supreme Hot Rod (Rodimus), Springer, Ultra Magnus, Perceptor, Kup, Deptcharge, Cliffjumper, Aerialbots (Silverbolt, Air Raid, Breakaway), Twin Twist, Wreck Gar, Knights of Cybertron, Dinobots (Grimlock, Strafe, Slug, Scorn, Slash, Snarl, Slog).

Decepticons: Megatron, Barricade Berserker, Dreadbot, Mohawk, Onslaught, Flatline, Arachind, Bombshell, Wreckloose, Scourge, Shockblast, Stunticons (Motormaster, Breakdown, Drag Strip, Wildrider, Dead End)

The Plot of this Film is the Autobots rebuilding Cybertron but learns that Unicron will soon awake.

    Transformers 7: Rise of Unicorn

This film will be the Epic Conclusion of my Rewrite of the Transformers Film Rewrites

Would you keep the robot design a Bumblebee from the live-action movies if you make the rest of the characters more G1?

Without getting too "backseat director" or rewrite-happy, I'm personally going to say that the movies didn't do all bad. What the films really needed was either a better writer, editor, or maybe co-director to help focus things and reel in Bay's excesses.

The man excels at the spectacle stuff, and he's even capable of producing a moment or two of genuine nuance and pathos. But in general, he's too distracted by his "sex and rock-and-roll" style of directing to see the big picture, and his films lose cohesiveness, quickly. A second set of eyes to set him on the straight path would have done wonders for the films.

Bay strikes me as having a domineering sort of ego, though, so maybe that would never have happened, and why the films continued to turn out as they did, even after all the lip service constantly paid to course-correcting the franchise's writing problems.

As a kid, I NEVER thought, I want more Spike and his dad on the screen! I wanted to see robots. That’s where I’d start with the movies. More robots, less humans. That’s the simplest starting point for repairs.

More robot screentime equals a shit ton more budget. And that's why this film series was riding high for so long, is that Michael Bay has a talent for turning in projects on time and even under budget.
