I was listning to WTF@TFW podcast number 46 on my PSP earlier when they brought up theme songs and how they have mostly been remakes throughout each gen....so if you started with a clean slate how would you do the TF theme song^^
Orchestrated. I'd jizz myself if I heard that, and with what's been said about ROTF, I may just end up jizzing myself.
Actually, in all honesty, if I were producing a new TF show, I wouldn't redo the old theme song. I'd just go with a really kick@$$ instrumental of some kind.
Well, i certanily woundnt want some asshole screaming TRANSFORMERS at the top of his lungs. It would be like a transmison was trying to come in and it was all fuzzy and staticy and all, then soundwave would says something like " Audio Track TF, bass boost 10, muffle start, terminate previous audio track, begin play in 100 microseconds" Then it starts out all techno/metal and it starts soft and gets heavier, and heavier, etc, then its silent and you hear megatron say, pathetic autobots, and its just a heavy metal, crazy ass, bass boosted, explosion of godlyness. I would like if Linkin Park and KoRn did it together, cuz linkin has the roboty/techo/hiphop sound and korn has the metal/funkish/heavy ass/ awesome sound, this would pwnass!!!!! but no vocals throughout the song, just intramental!
Techno if for TV (regular series or made-for-TV movie). Orchestra if for the big screen. Barbershop quartet if done as cosplay.
A barbershop version quartet might actually be so bizarre as to wrap back around into cool. Assuming the voices were of reasonable quality, of course.
Folks: My Transformers theme would be awesomely schlocky eighties metal with the biggest hair and brightest laser beams ever. It would be like Jack Black's dreams dipped in molten plutonium.
