As for me, I would remove Optimus's mouth and have him with the mask on ALL TIME.

At first i hated the mouth, but now realize it worked for the movie. As long as he has the shield piece in battle i think that's cool He has more emotion with his mouth. And don't forgot almost all the cartoon tformers had a mouth except a handful (grimlock, perceptor (well the toy) soundwave, and prime. I always loved perceptor w/the mouthpiece but hated he had lips on the cartoon...so I dunno...

I prefer that they keep only a core group after each movie such as Optimus, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave so that we can get more new designs in each new movie.

For TF1, I liked all the designs.
For TF2, I prefer Arcee as a car like in G1 so Arcee would be the same size as the male Autobots. I also prefer the Arcee robot to be of humanoid shape rather than the current design which looks like a guy on a unicycle. You don't really need 3 of the same unicycle design in the movie.

Instead of using Grindor who is just a Blackout lookalike, I would have preferred they used a new design like the Incinerator toy.

For TF3, I hope they drop most of the old characters and come up with new designs for Shockwave, Rumble, Reflector, Hot Rod, Springer, Blurr, etc.

 

There's a few faces I'd change, certainly in the Decepticon's lineup be it first or second movie. The general designs are still a bit too bitastic in many respects for my tastes, so I'd solid the robot modes up a little.

There's a ton of things I'd have done differently had I been in charge of the film. Think Masterpiece & Alternator meets ILM quality rendering. Exact copies of those line's items? Not at all. Simply by rendering a drawn (comic-like) image or toy form into a more realistic & textured design would put more details on the movie aspect than you'd ever find on the toy. But that's all me, and it's all 'what I would have done at the time' had it been the case. What would I actually change at this point? Probably nothing. That's not to say I like everything, far from it, but there's a lot I do like or don't mind and the fact is this is now an established and successful Transformers continuity. What's done is done and it should be stuck with throughout the trilogy. Let the next series to come have such changes & whatnot.

And for the record, while I usually prefer my Optimuses (?), Optimi (?) with faceplates (that's faceplates, not battlemasks), I've come to love the face that Cullen's aged & less John Wayne Prime voice comes from, to the point I hate Hasbro for not producing any Optimus figure with said face (or with a removable faceplate). I would totally buy a Movie Prime figure for myself if such a thing were to happen. To be honest, I don't even like the look of Bayformers Prime's battlemask since its simply that, a mask. There's no movement to it when he speaks with it on. I suspect that would be a different case had they'd gone the faceplate-only/no mouth route, but Bay's insisting wouldn't have that, and I do like the result.

 

My Arcee idea: Transfer her spark into a taller and stronger robotic body !! Not much though.

I know I draw' er red but don't see why she should be pink!! I would be cool with a lot of color contrasts.

 

Since there are already lots of King Kong movies, I would prefer Devastator to have a more humanoid look. I prefer a more intelligent Devastator.

 

I would had changed Starscream's design !!!

 

This. He's the only one I don't really like the design of. He looks like a kite to me. I'm actually surprised they didn't make a SS kite for the kiddies.

 

Make them to where you can actually recognize who the characters are supposed to be, especially during the fight scenes.

 

Holy shit, did you draw that? Looks amazing. That's what Arcee should've looked like! Although, the bike bots are pretty cool too nevertheless.

 

The only thing I would change is Sideswipe. Make him look EXACTLY the same, only red, and give him his twin...Sunstreaker.

 

I'd give them clothes. Seriously, they're all naked.

And shoes, you can plainly see their toes. Must get cold.

 

Technically, the pieces of their alternate modes ARE their clothes.
