I was just looking at Fansproject Dead End and I love how it harkens back to the G1 toy especially with the head. I always thought his animation model's head was terrible and since he's depicted as vain, I wondered how he'd react to his animation model and the various toys he's gotten.

So then I thought about how other Transformers would react to seeing their toys?

I imagine Megatron not being impressed with his G1 robot mode but would think it delicious that his G1 toy is banned in America and Europe for looking too realistic.

Swindle probably wouldn't be impressed with his G1 toy.

Grimlock wouldn't be too impressed with his Pretender toy. Firstly due to having a human shell and then because of the terrible dinosaur or terrible 'terrible lizard' mode he was given.

Optimus Prime might not like the gut he has on his Powermaster and Energon toys.

Ratchet and Ironhide would want to know what happened their heads.

Starscream would be miffed at the unpainted face of his G1 toy.

Galvatron, Rumble and Frenzy might question the confusion over their colour schemes.

Electro would probably want to know why his toy was made of Cosmic Rust.

The Combiners would probably be unhappy with how small their G1 toys were. Hook being a perfectionist would probably bemoan the lack of vehicle scale among the franchise.

Crankcase would want to know why he's been renamed and made to be Battletrap's trousers.

Flywheels would want to know where his Titanmaster body was?

In all seriousness, I think Rumble and Frenzy would have an Identity crisis.

 

Galvatron would be doing the Jean-Luc Picard "WTF is this s-" meme looking at the Universe and Titans Returns figures.

Springer would look at his T30 and Siege figs with modest pride.

Sunstreaker and Sideswipe would either get a big kick out of their U2.0 figures sharing a mold or they'd hate it terribly. No in between.

Bumblebee would feel super awkward by all the attention he gets. He'd probably feel a little guilt on Cliffjumper's behalf, too.

IDW Galvatron would be utterly disgusted with being a titanmaster and even more so bring a combiner.

 

Cliffjumper would be excited to see earthrise isn’t just another bumblebee.

mirage would probably question his cw toy and praise the siege one

cliffjumper will see the Netflix mirage toy and probably say “I knew it! I told you so!”

 

Knockout would be furious at the dull, bare-bones paintjob on his. He could probably fix that himself though, and actually might be so vain as to keep it on display. But only in car mode; he'd probably feel embarrassed being depicted as clunky as the Deluxe's robot mode is.

I could see Armada Demolishor and Animated Bulkhead actually collecting and playing with some of them. (albeit with a desperate struggle, given their weird hands)

I don't think they'd be happy with the um cheaper lines, but some of the best ones? Hell yeah!

I love how you described Megatron's reactions Prime Noble. Hee hee.

I imagine there'd be egotistical pissing contests knowing there were army collectors out there. Might get ugly between the more volatile chars for who was clearly most beloved among the fans.

 

Poor Arcee would probably be more embarrassed than anything.... due in no small part to that thing we can’t talk about.

I would imagine Ultra Magnus being pissed that an unofficial company had to actually make his Classics figure accurate
AOE Optimus would pull the plug on himself after seeing that stupid Smash and Change toy.
