Disagree on Sunstreaker, broken accessories and splitting tires immediately. Mirage is very high quality. Swoop was alright, not that there was much to work with. Every Wheeljack I got had chipped feet out of the box.

Yeah it's a legit toy, but LOTS of scammers are selling it. I bought it and got nothing.

There has been a price drop on that LG version from everything I've seen on ebay in last six months. My guess would be more old stock turned up / gotta move them on.
Just a guess, I really have no idea.

They are cheap, but buy from reliable sellers so you are not sitting around waiting for a refund like I have been the last two months.

Nope, no clue as to why Sonokong was replaced with Mocom Toy...just a guess here, but I'm assuming that Sonokong probably do anything "bad" to lose the license, otherwise there probably would have been at least some discussion about it here and on other forums at the time. Mocom Toy manufactures their toys in China, and not South Korea (like Sonokong did), so maybe that had something to do with it (economic factors).

Maybe a stupid question, but if a Masterpiece is in a Hasbro box, it's probably not a KO, right? Like, the KOs mimic Takara packaging, not the US release.

Only would have to worry about if they swapped out the "real" figure with a knockoff.

hello, not sure if this is the right forum to be in for this topic but I am hoping someone can help I bought a Voyager Hound from Taiwan and and was wondering if anyone knows how to tell whether or not it is authentic or if it is a KO. The seller has told me it is real and the figure does not seem to have any imperfections that I can see. It has the engraved code of the back of the packaging and has some hasbro Far East sticker thing on the bottom. However the PET sign on the top of the box is quite faded when compared to my nitro box. If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful. I have listed some images below to show what I am taking about.

Both pictured in the link are KOs. The centered hole punches are a giveaway.

i'll probably go with the Generations Seaspray, way more affordable and very G1 looking, but now need to find a Warpath and Beachcomber that are very close to G1 looking and for affordable price, I don't think there is a Generations version of Warpath and Beachcomber right that?

In recent years, there has been a Generations Warpath:
    Shmax.com: Product Information - Warpath

    and a Universe Beachcomber:
    Shmax.com: Product Information - Beachcomber

I'm not sure if you think these look close enough to G1, but there is a very G1-ish version of Beachcomber coming out in Power of the Primes:

If I had to GUESS, I would say that one is legit. The hole punch is off-center, which is good, and the bubble is yellowing, which is bad normally but good in that it goes to show the age of the item as I don't think anyone would create KO yellowed bubbles. :)

I'm also assuming that the yellowing is limited to the bubble itself and has not affected Warpath.

Not sure if you are going to open it up should you win that auction, but Warpath can be had in loose condition for MUCH cheaper on eBay.

    Hope this helps,
    MIKE
