Hasbro listening to what the fans want, then doing it?

:lolol  You have much to learn.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what effect we would have. From what I have heard and read, Hasbro shops exclusives around to different vendors to see who is interested. I believe they have done this with the MP line as well. In the past MP's have been carried as a mass release (MP-1 Optimus), and then as exlusives to stores like Walmart (MP Skywarp).

TRU has been willing to partner with Hasbro for the more recent US MP releases. I would love to see the MP's as a shared exclusive with online vendors like Amazon or BBTS, as I think that would make them more available. However, from what I understand we would need to be petitioning Amazon and BBTS then, not Hasbro.

Basically this (and to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if this became an eventually anyway).

The fact MPs have been ending up retailer exclusive means that some of the brick and mortar mass market guys simply aren't interested in carrying a high end collector line outside of TRU. However, given the increase in exclusive offerings from Amazon and BBTS, I think MPs going to one or more of those venues is likely to happen eventually.

    Petitions don't do anything.

Best bet: get everyone to email Hasbro and say (politely) how hard it is to find MPs at TRU and that you'd love to be able to order them online from Amazon or BBTS. If enough people do it, we *might* see change.

But an online petition is nothing.

Petitions HAHAHA, Hasbro is selling MPs like crazy and Tru is banking as well. That is their main objective.

BotCon and SDCC are right around the corner as well. I think this would be a great time to voice your concerns about the availability of Masterpiece figures at Toys R Us. If approached politely and respectfully I'm certain Hasbro will listen and make efforts to make the situation better.

I'm not sure the above is actually serious, but anyway...

Hasbro have made it clear they have trouble selling larger toys, even ones based on current media. Larger toys based on a cartoon that ended 27 years ago? Difficult.

    'But but...Everyone loves the G1 cartoon...and the comics...and...and'.

No. Masterpieces have comparatively limited reach when you put them against toys from the Movie franchise, or a more recent cartoon.
Then consider the economies of scale model Hasbro are pushed into. I'm starting to doubt they really make much money from them.

But they have said they want to keep TRU in business... so maybe at the current level of distribution/production, they consider it worthwhile.

It's not necessarily a case of anyone 'screwing' you, Hasbro exist to make money first and foremost, and contrary to what a lot of people believe, they're
not that 'stoopid'. Maybe they're throwing people a bone when they don't really have to. A full blow US Masterpiece line is very unlikely to be viable, and the
probable reality is that unless you're going to pursue the TT one, you're always going to be missing something.

There are other people in the world? who told you this?

^they are obviously making money from the mp line or they wouldn't keep doing it. the $5 or whatever it costs hasbro to make them has enough profit tossed on there

if you can get 100k signatures, obama will personally tell hasbro to make masterpieces available to other retail stores.

I'd like to start a petition to get people to start making a petition so that we can have a petition to get a petition started about this petition. Petition.

well i live outside u.s i dont know botcon is coming why not a lot of people begin to ask about it on botcon , the worst try is not trying after all , imagine a more accesible mp line for everyone , you dont have to fight with scalpers or the biggest scalper toyrus itself you would not waste money searching for them and a lower price that the japanese line
the problem is that in some contrys the shipping and taxes made the takara line double for example is a buy prowl i would have to pay 130.00 imagine.......

I've never understood why people WANT items to be exclusives. Seems kinda mean to me, and encourages elitist attitudes.

Obviously they would be available as an exclusive in a store or website that operates in your country.

The exclusivity in your specific country would, in theory, be dependent on what stores operate in a given country and I doubt hasbro would just fuck everyone else in the world over by not having region specific exclusive agreements should they change from TRU only.

it depends do you believe the mp arrive to every toyrus in the world hahahaha good luck with that they only bring whatever they want , so making it amazon exclusive would be better , do you realize no every country have toyrus and indded if they have it toyrus would increase its price to be pretty much the takara one with less quality

seriously guys i dont understand you it seems you like to be swindle by toyrus and scalpers every year , you only have to talk to hasbro on botcon when they release starscream on wallmart they dont increase the price every 5 minutes i remenber when they release the original optimus , we only need to speak to them nothing is lost
