How many Maximals & Predacons would you want to see make comebacks? Especially those that were only seen as toys deserve to have shots on being on the show officially.

With the lack of female transformers, we need more since Airazor & Blackarachnia. How about a butterfly for a Maximal?

Cheetor? Evolve him into Rodimus Primal. That goes for Megatron evolving into Galvatron.

Dinobot betrayed the Predacons for the Maximals. So how about a former Maximal who sold out his group to join the Predacons? That goes for a drifter like Sideways, Punch/Counterpunch & Doubledealer to join in - like say a chameleon for both a Maximal & Predacon to infiltrate both factions.

Can you imagine the reboot anything like Transformers Prime in some way?

 

I wouldn't reboot it. Animal Transformers are cool enough but you will never be able to recapture the magic of the original show, especially if you're trying to.

Quickstrike & Rampage are essentially like that, both are originally Maximals who we're never reprogrammed as Predacons who are yet still part of the Predacon Faction with "Terrorize" transformation battlecries

The survivors are dinosaurian Transformers that cling to existence on these damaged pieces of Cybertron. To survive, these dinosaur Transformers develop means of volplaning and flying that parallel those seen in maniraptoran dinosaurs and birds seen in the Mesozoic, so they can travel from one piece of Cybertron to another in their quest for survival.

Well, if they plan on making a Kingdom cartoon right after an Earthrise cartoon, consider it rebooted.

 

Have it be a new story with new characters or use the original characters? Because I think using the original cast would be hard to pull off since they already ended their character arcs.
Maybe have a new Primal like character (is primal a rank like in animated or is it just Optimus'es last name?) that transforms into a different animal maybe a bull?

 

The original Beast Wars is unrebootable. If you wanna do something different with the same characters and a different concept, sure! But nothing will ever beat the original.

Personally? I'd completely reinvent the aesthetic, setting, and tone. Place it in ancient human history, with primitive human tribes worshiping the Transformers as elemental Gods who embody the Earth and nature, who clash on an epic scale like mythological figures. I'd do something almost like TGPing's Titonmachy: 2D Artwork: - Titanomachy: A line of original TFing toys

I'd do an all-new cast, and most of the characters would be "standard" animal TFs with a much more organic, visceral, tribal flair. Then I'd have colossal, mythical characters who directly manifest as part of nature, like a massive sea serpent, some sort of giant rock monster, a Forest Ent-like being that looks like an animal, etc.

Beast Wars, to me, embodies the total revision and departure from the norm. I feel like Transformers could use something as drastic a departure as that in these days of safe, by-numbers retreading of old concepts.

 

Isn't that exactly why it should be rebooted? Everyone always talks about remaking Beast Wars, but no matter how good it is, it'll be changed and therefore many will hate it because it doesn't "recapture the magic." A full reboot that completely starts over isn't trying to "recapture the magic' because it would have its own identity.

This sounds absolutely fucking metal. You need to write a fanfic about this. I bet you could write a killer fanfic.

 

A fanfic of mine revolved around the premise of current-era zoos being ground-zero for a viral recombination of animal DNA with cyberform tech so that each of the animals became sentient robotic beasts in hiding (to study the humans).

The cyberformed zoo animals eventually revolt and overtake the city demanding humans change their ways for their own good. Some disagree on what that means, wether to work with the humans or cut them out of the equation completely. One faction is working to irradicate the human plague that is choking the planet. The other wants to work with them toward peaceful coexistence, bartering a truce with the city to become the example of what that partership could mean for the betterment of the world.

Season-1 cliffhanger: in order to save the city, the goodies must cave to the baddies' demands to release the cyberform virus to all other zoos and let each "Tribe" set their own rules.

Season-2 cliffhanger: In order to save his best friend, a human, idealistic-goody makes a deal with big-bad to administer the virus to that human. Maybe saves his friend's body but his mind? Time will tell. Goodies disapprove 99% so he sees baddies' side more clearly and switches sides.

Season 3 cliffhanger: We're going on safari! Turns out the cyberhuman has been busy subverting both goodies and baddies for his own goals, the rise of the beast and the return of humanity to the caves where they belong, leaving him in charge of human redevelopment.

Season-4: 50 years after "Equlibrium" -- Cyberhuman recounts in soliloqui the events that brought him to "today." Those who were taken too soon. Those who are still in exile. Each chapter deals with a great personal loss but also each new beginning. In the end we find it is his memoirs being dictated as last words before a council of Esteemed colleagues from both factions, sharing a table with other cyberhumans before his sentence is carried out.

 

I like it. Question is what Maximals and Predacons would you have join in? What animals? That goes for making new ones.

Plus I’d enjoy having humans take part in it.

I especially wanted to do a role reversal where the main baddy was a very resentful gorilla (think Grod from flash) and the main goody is basically Gator Megs whose coldbloodedness allows him to be very rational about things. Basically what if Megs cut out all that nasty emotion that made him war-wacky and he became a version of Spock?
