In the bumblebee movie we hear arcee say they lost contact with the capital. I’d like to think Megatron sent out his forces to track down Optimus Prime, and he alone took out Iacon’s forces, no help. That would establish how freaking scary he is, where he was during the events of the first movie, and what that line from Arcee actually meant. Give me cold, calculating gladiator that has the intelligence to back up his brutality. Make him a 3D character with him genuinely wanting to make cybertron better by tearing down an oppressive government only to lose himself through the war.

 

In my opinion, since Knight directed the first film, all G1-centric films in this continuity following Bumblebee should be considered Knightverse material. Plus, Knightverse sounds really cool.

I think it should either be a tank or a helicopter. Something large and powerful. Not an abomination like the previous movie Megatrons

Megatron being a gun was one of the biggest mistakes in transformers history along side the devastator balls and kiss players.

 

I'd say about as strong as the other Transformers. Maybe a bit stronger, since he needs some intimidation factor.

I'd personally prefer they don't make him some sort of indestructible supervillain who can't even have his armor scratched. He's a Transformer, not a superhero. It's fine for him to be a bit more durable than the heroes, but he can't feel too above everyone else. Let him take some damage and get scratched up in fights.

Edit: If we're talking about his alternate mode, I'm in favor of a tank. I've always wanted to see Megatron as an Earth tank with a larger (fusion) cannon in place of the usual barrel. Personally, I don't like jet Megatrons. Save flying for Starscream. Why would Megatron keep his traitorous air commander around if he could fly himself?

First of all, kibble isn't "supposed" to be like anything.
The only part of his robot mode that is visible on the tank mode is his head, and there's a lot of tank kibble on his bot mode.

No, the tank was awesome, however, while the Megatron’s bot mode was one of the better designs, it still fell far short of making Megatron appear as more than a one note monster, especially considering actor Hugo Weaving was cast for the role.

I would definitely want Michael Shannon in the role as a passionate and driven Megatron, or better yet, Benedict Cumberbatch (check YouTube for his Extremely Dedicated work as Smaug in The Hobbit), or just bring back Cory Burton...sorry folks, as legendary as Frank Walker’s Saturday morning work is, he STILL makes Megatron sound like a Saturday morning cartoon character when on live film.

 

He should be powerful, that's for sure. I like the triple changer idea from this thread - robot, tank/space ship and an artillery piece. The last one would be fairly immobile, but this would be because he needs to anchor down to fire at full power. And when he does, it should be a blast for the ages. Maybe like the Helium 3 rounds from Iron Sky.

I never really saw him as a so called one note monster personally, though I get why people would say so about him in the 07 movie.
And I thought Weaving did a great job. I even prefer him over Welker.

 

They should make knightverse megatron as strong as animated megatron has the same personality as the prime wars megatron and have frank welker voice him and have him do the same voice as prime Megatron

 

Terrifyingly strong and extremely durable. I mean Blitzwing dragged Bumblebee on the mountain without getting so much damage. Knightverse are quite durable.

 

I love ROTF Megatron's tank mode. It's immediately recognizable as a tank despite being "alien" and I love how his face is just poking out like some kind of turtle monster. Plus it's just plain cool and badass, especially the treads that look like chainsaws.
