I recently came across a Beast Wars Tigertron and Cheetor at my friends house and luckily was allowed to have them. I have owned a Cheetor before, the charity drive was his downfall, but I have never seen a Tigertron. I looked on eBay and haven't seen one for sale. Is this a rare find?

No. He's pretty common on eBay if you type "Tigatron". "Tigertron" is an understandable misspelling though.

Yeah, Tigatron's not all that rare, but he can be expensive if you want a MOSC or MISB one. Although I've seen quite a few MISB Japanese Tigatron's going for relatively cheap nowadays.

I have to admit that I've never actually seen a Tigatron on the shelves, and I bought most of my BWs from the shelves. (love those BW's)
Eventually onlined the Takara version along with a Shadow Panther for $20ea misb

It does seem like it should be 'Tigertron' since 'Tigahawk' kinna sounds funny

An origanal "creamy" version was very rare at one time. Then the Japanese white tiger came out and most people sold the regular one, capitalizing on rarity.

As demand for Beast Wars stuff declined, more people parted with thier tigatrons, so now it is easy to find if you look hard enough.

For a while it was REALLY common, but kids wanted Cheetor (Tigatron hadn't made his show debut yet) I saw LOTS of Tigatrons go clearance and warm pegs before he finally sold out and then promptly debuted on the show creating a demand with the kids...by that time the assortment had moved on to "green eyed" Cheetor
