We've seen many figures now for the ROTF line, even though some of us have yet to see any of them in stores. We all knew this was going to be bigger than the original Movie line. But how much bigger?

I'm wondering how many figures are there left that we have yet to see. Are the figures we're seeing now due to stretch into next year, or will they all be out by the end of summer? I don't recall having this much foreknowledge of the previous Movie line before it hit.

    Let me break it down:

    Deluxe Class

    New Molds

    Preview Soundwave
    Sideswipe
    Sideways
    Breakaway
    Skids
    Mudflap
    Rampage
    Cannon Bumblebee (mostly)
    Chromia
    Arcee
    Twins Ice Cream Truck
    Ravage
    Wheelie
    Blaze Master
    Jolt

    Retools/repaints

    Preview Bumblebee
    Smokescreen
    Barricade
    Dead End
    Swerve
    Bludgeon
    Deep Desert Brawl

    Voyager Class

    New Molds

    Megatron
    The Fallen
    Starscream
    Demolishor
    Mixmaster
    Long Haul
    Statosphere

    Repaints/Retools

    Ironhide
    Ratchet
    Optimus
    Skywarp
    Ramjet
    Whirl

    Human Alliance

    Bumblebee
    Sideswipe

    Leader Class

    Optimus
    Megatron
    Jetfire

    Ultimate / Supreme Class

    Devastator

    Battle Charged Bumblebee

    Scout Class

    New Molds

    Dead End
    Dirtboss
    Rollbar
    Knockout
    Depth Charge
    Ransack
    Doctor Scalpel

    Repaints

    Reverb

    Legends Class

    New Molds

    Megatron
    Optimus
    Jetfire
    Sideswipe
    Bumblebee
    Springer
    Mixmaster
    Scrapper
    Hightower
    Long Haul
    Rampage
    Scavenger
    Overload

    Repaints

    Starscream
    Ratchet

Let me know which ones I missed. For the sake of comparison, Movie 1 had 18 new mold Deluxes (including Preview and Allspark Power). 7 New mold Voyager class. 3 New Mold Leader class. 12 new mold Legends class 8 New Mold scout class Real Gear figures.

We still need the third Arcee sister.

I think there is still a good deal yet because Bot Con this year will be all about the movie line for Hasbro so I'm sure they have a few things saved back for that. The video game might throw in some characters we haven't seen yet. At least in the scout sized class they have characters that are not on screen characters.

Then there are all the repaints.

Plus we don't know how long the movie line will run so it's hard to say what they will put in to keep the line running. And it's tough to say what molds will come out of retirement for store exclusives.

So I'd say the rest of you still have plenty to look forward to.

What I find interesting is that in some of the size classes we're already seeing as many or even more new molds than we got before. Before the new molds stretched into the 2008 Allspark waves.

This time around, we're well into a recession

There's the third femcycle, and at least 2 more constructicons to go. This is starting to look expensive.

I'm just hoping that we'll get a new, hopefully less clunky depiction of Ratchet. The rumored Deluxe listing has me very hopefull.

Yeah, Ratchet could use a new mold.

I'd actually been thinking that with much bigger bots this time around, it would solve a lot of scale problems if they produced downsize versions of the main Autobot characters.

I was hoping they'd do Bumblebee and some of the Autobot cars at scout class. Doesn't seem very likely at this stage.

My guess is we've seen about 2/3, minus whatever crazy repaints come later down the line.

Yea the majority of what we haven't seen will be the million repaints they do with every mold.

Well that's okay, because there's some repaints they need to do. The Breakaway mold desperately needs a decent paint scheme. It's like they deliberately made the first paint scheme to be rubbish.

It's cool that they're doing new headsculpts for some of the deluxe repaints this time around. They could do non-goofball characters from the Skids and Mudflap molds.

I'd say we have only seen about half of what will come of this line, what with all the very probable remolds, recolors, etc.

what about new molds? Are we pretty much done? It's hard to sustain a line with just repaints.

I know we need another 2 Constructicons and another femmecycle.

And I can't help but notice that all but one of the new Voyager molds are Decepticons. They may try to balance that out.

    Um, what?

They are probably going to release REmolds after the main line is done. Just look what they did with the first line.

I personally think we have seen everything that is likely to be on shelves until maybe December time. Basically the whole 2009 lineup. 2010 is anyone's guess, though. I'm not sure how much you're going to see of that at Botcon because of how far out it is. Probably at least 2-3 new Voyagers and half a dozen deluxes, plus FABs and stuff to show off.

Well as far as 2009 goes there's only two more deluxes and the human alliances to see as far as main line goes, but no doubt 2010 will wrap up the line and complete the character ranks,

I can't find it right now but I thought Hasbro at Toy Fair announced in their press release that the ROTF line would have 24 characters in the Deluxe Class, 11 in the Voyager Class, and 3 in the Leader Class. Not sure if that is for the entire line or just the line through 2009.

The remolds I recall from the first line were final battle Jazz, Thundercracker and Evac. I agree that we could be looking at only half the line as a whole, but probably 3/4 of the way through original mold figures.

That's huge, though they probably count repaints. And no mention of the rumoured 4th Leader class.

Yeah I'm starting to wonder what if anything they'll have left to reveal at Botcon. Seems like there's more leaks than in the past.

Hopefully we'll see some Animated molds and something of what they have planned for 2010.

I'm guessing there is a batch that Hasbro is holding back until 2010 that isn't included in the press release tally for the initial run. I doubt it'll be nearly as many figures (and many will be re-decos) but theres probably a few 2010 ROTF surprises that they're waiting till BotCon to reveal.

Premium Prime... Stealth Bumblebee... yeah. There will definitely be more repaints, though.
