most people will usually charge 5 bucks for shipping. online retailers sometime don't charge anything at all. but sometimes they'll charge ya like 8-10 bucks. depends i guess.
I didn't think shipping from your own house was possible. i thought you had to go to the post office or buy post office packaging. i don't know I've never shipped anything from my home. :/
If its loose, you can ship it via USPS First Class mail for under $3 anywhere in 48 states! If its sealed on card about $5-$6 sent priority mail. Hope that helps!
Won't the post office just weigh the package for you? I mean it shouldn't hardly cost anything to mail it honestly.
How much do you guys normally get charged to ship to the U.K.? I have to ship 3 figures and want a rough estimate of what to expect.
True. Also: any carded deluxe should be shippable at the 1lb Priority rate with one of their "document" boxes that are like 15x12x3 inches. Stuff in a sheet of newspaper on either side of the figure and it should get there ok. I've never had a figure shipped that way creep higher than 15 ounces. On the same coast or from middle to coast should be $5, from coast to coast it might be $6.
I usually do $4-5 for a loose deluxe to neighboring states as well as other areas on the east coast (I live in PA). For midwest to west coast locations, I'll make it $6-7. If it's carded, I'll typically make it $8 on the east coast, $10 on the west coast and $9 for locations in between.
I just shipped a similar size toy from PA to NJ this week for five dollars. No insurance. No tracking. USPS.
When I sell on ebay it usually cost me about $5 to ship first class with tracking. My packages tend to way 11 to 12 oz because of all the bubble wrap I use for lose figures. Carded usually weighs the the same but just a bigger box. On a rare occasion it weighs more then 13 oz and it then has to be priority mail and that will bump the price to around $7.
