It seems that tons Animated, and more recently Universe 2.0 toys started showing up months ago on ebay, (Animated wont hit stateside for a few weeks now) and it seems that quite a few board members snatched them up, maybe trying to get their plastic crack fix.

I'm curious, If you bought some how much did you pay for yours? And Why the rush? Do you regret paying as much as you did? I guess this wouldnt apply for test shots etc.

    Ebay:
I payed $58 for bulkhead,$43 for ratchet, $18 for BA, and $41 for my recently bought voy. Prime. The only one I regret is Ratchet, I guess I could have found another one for les, but whatever. The rush? Oh the rush is for the want. I waited for the movie toys and that was the biggest pain, so I thought, I still have lots of money left from Botcon, so why not get my plastic crack with it? Thus, BA, Ratchet, and Optimus

I'm really impatient about the release especially since seeing movie stuff for almost a whole year is really annoying... but sadly I lack the funds to go nuts and buy an early release Grimlock or something.

while not animated crack, i paid for for alternators tracks, in yellow plastic back about a week after i found smokescreen at retail, and tracks was still a good 4 months away, IIRC...that was because i'm a mega tracks geek... and i don't regret that purchase at all...other then that, i dont have enough money to blow on early release figures now, so i can wait...

Gotta Pay if you want to Play.

The excitement fizzles after the prized plastic crack is hanging out at every retail chain in town. I have learned that a few times. But I have also had more than a few occasions where I have been so happy to finally have something that I have been pining.

And sometimes, just sometimes, paying extra for a figure is easily justified since the actual retail release is so hard to find in stores (especially now with gas prices the way they are).

Classics 2.0 is really tempting though. The release is so far away. But you can play today, if you want to pay...

I think the other thing going on here, is that Transformers Animated has been showing for a while, and people are jonesing for their real life toy avatars of their favorite show characters.

To add to the thread, I paid $125.00 for a Prototype Altenators Prowl. Was worth every penny.
