I was wondering how many Autobot or Decepticon troopers we have got in Transformers Universe.

So far I can remember these:

    *G1 Centurion droids
    *G1 Sharkticons
    *Energon Omnibots
    *G2 Jhiaxus Decepticons (Comic)
    *Energon Terrorcons
    *Kiss Players Autoroopers
    *Kiss Players Legion
    *TFPrime Insecticons
    *TFPrime Vehicons

I don't consider G1 Seekers since they are supposed to be an elite, neither G1 Omega Sentinels since they are more than a selected infantry.

    Any other group so far???

If you go outside the Autobot and Decepticon factions, you get the Vehicons from Beast Machines, the most prominent of the grunt types outside of the Seekers and the Sharkticons.

There were all those mini-Unicron troopers in the G1 Marvel comic.

Chompazoids seem to be mass-produced bodyframes in RID2015, same with Cyclone Minicons. I'd also put forward G1 Insecticon clones and TF: Prime Terrorcons.

So U.S. G1 cartoon had the following, in order of appearance:

    S1
-Seekers (based on the season 1 background copies)
-Reflector -Ep. Divide & Conquer featured 4 Reflectors and Starscream forced 1 off planet, like they're just a dime a dozen.
    -Insecticon clones

    Movie
    -Sweeps
    -Junkions

    S3
-Paradron citizens -The 1's with all the same generic face like Vortex (Visor, Mouthplate)

    Outside of Autobots/Decepticons there's:

    Quintessons (Transformers only)
    -Sharkticons
    -Allicons

G1 Seekers were troopers in the G1 cartoon and Dreamwave.

Animated Autotroopers, Movie Constructions(To an extent). The Frumble body type also sometimes was used as crowd filler in G1

I'd really like to have an Autobot toy that could be a "trooper".

There are a few out there. Plus there are some that make for easy repurposing. There's been threads about it in the Toys subforum and of the recent series both CW Rook and Streetwise have been used.
