I just got my Funpub Punch/Counterpunch today and I realized that, including Sideswip, Sunstreaker, and Henkei Red Alert I now have four of this mold. I have three of Universe Prowl/silverstreak/Smokescreen mold. The undisputed champion of multi-purchases is the Universe seeker mold. I'm up to seven with the '07 Botcon set and will be getting two more with the new releases of Thrust and Dirge. What toy have you been "made" (Notice the sarcasm indicated by the quotes. Please no Hasbro bashing. Much love.) to purchase over and over again? Do you pick up every repaint or do you like a certain toy so much you just have to have multiples of the same release?

 

I bought 7 of the universe Cyclonus mold. They were all but one the purple retail version and the odd one out was Henkei. I only have 5 now. I gave away two that I painted in a contest.

 

Animated deluxe Bumblebee. I have every repaint/remold of that figure
Cliffjumper, Hubcap, Glyph, Freeway, Bumper, Sedan- oh wait that's right those weren't released in this dimension. Guess I'll head back there to watch some Season 5 of Animated and mod my Hubcap's stingers  

 

My downfall is that if it was a G1 character (especially if it was a G1 repaint to begin with) I will buy it.

So, I've bought the same mold three different times I guess. I've also got both Lambo brothers and two versions of Movie Dreadwing (original and "Fearswoop") but Sideswipe and both Dreadwings were gifts.

 

Hmm, Uni Sideswipe/Sunstreaker/Tigertrack/Diaclone Red Sunstreaker/Custom WIP Breakdown/ Swipe junker for parts found at a Goodwill in a 5 lb bag of toys for a buck, why not? Oh, and the kids have Swipe and Streaker too.

Classics Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold. I love it to bits. 4x Universe Sideswipe. 4x Universe Sunstreaker. 1x Henkei Sideswipe. 1x Henkei Sunstreaker. 1x Henkei Red Alert. 4x Botcon Breakdown. 1 TFCC Punch/Counterpunch. 1 G2 Sideswipe.... I think that covers the single most I ever bought of any one mold..... Need to fix some of them though since I got bad Botcon dealers that sold me supposedly mint Universe Sideswipe that is missing foot and ankle... Gagh... Freaking 17 of the same freaking mold.... =)

 

Oddly enough, I've actually not gotten more than two of any given mold. Not for any real reason, it's just never happened.

If I can ever find an Animated Skywarp though, I'll be up to three on that one (having Animated Starscream and Animated Sunstorm). Plus Animated Thundercracker, if he ever gets a US release...

I'm also wanting to get that new "Battle Blade" Bumblebee (badly), which would put me at three for that mold (having TF1 Camero Concept Bee, and ROTF Preview Bee).

Other than that, I've got several others that I have two of. Animated Soundwave (regular and the "Electrostatic"/Soundblaster repaint), Animated Lockdown (regular and the "Blazing" repaint), Movie Voyager Prime (ROTF and the "First Strike" G1 repaint), The Fallen (regular and the "Burning" repaint), etc...

I plan on getting that new blue Fallen also, so I guess that'll make three for that one.

 

I happen to have that weakness like My most recent one is buying the mp ultra magnus or shadow command megatron or buying sleep convoy and I bought both bb's for tf1 and tf2 and I buy every cliffjumper and every movie prime toy they release (voyager and leader mostly)but most of the time I don't buy any tf toy if I think the repaint is pretty useless that's why I haven't bought any new ironhide or ratchet since 07'

 

The most I have is 3, ROTF Ravage and the 2 repaints. I really like the toy and movie design even though he barely has an alt mode.

i have 5 MP seekers as of now and planning to get 2 MP ghost SS. i think i really like that mold a lot.

 

Battle Blade bee is a completely new mold. Everything is different- If it helps your decision It's awesome-you should pick it up- the lower legs do transform the same way, but it's all new pieces.

Really? I didn't know that. And yeah, I definitely want it, I just don't know if I can afford it yet.  

 

I've got a fair few minicons that are identical bar the color.
And Go-Bots/Spychangers.

But the obvious example of excess has to be Movie Bumblebee: especially the concept Camero mold.

As for army Building I do that a little with Minicons - especially the Destruction Team. but mainly with Non-Transformers items like Cybermen and Kenner Aliens.
