I am not being judgmental or anything, merely curious.

I am close to 30, yet Transformers have been kind of my things pretty much my entire life, as I would imagine many people in my generation.

It's like the very first cartoon I saw and the series which I got my first toys from. So it's really part of my life.

The main reason for my curiosity is because the Transformers G1 started back in 1984(the year I was born), and if I never saw previous TF series, or the movies, I wouldn't understand much of many things in TFP. So I'm wondering how people seeing TFP as their first TF feel compare to people like me who have watched TF almost my whole life.

Close to 25, but really, you can have ZERO interactions with TF of any kind before watching Prime and still follow it. If anything, it might be better, because your judgement wouldn't be overclouded by expectations [ie Breakdown's in, he'll be a leg soon!].

I am 23 years young! It's easier to be a Transfan when you're older, as you can actually afford to buy all the cool stuff you always wanted when you were 10 :>!

22 here... And I agree with everybody else when they say it's easier to get into a fandom when you're older. That's the age when you can actually afford the toys you wanted as a kid. :3

I'm 22 as well. In my opinion, one can enjoy Prime (if you don't mind it's small, or, for some, big flaws) even if you haven't watched any of the previous Transformers series. There are some nice references for those of the older generation who watch the other shows, but nothing really major.

Got to agree with the money part, though, like the others said.

I'm 36. I watch Prime and Animated with my 4 year old. I like Prime better, he likes Animated. We have most of the Prime toys. Haven't opened half of them yet. (waiting until Christmas)

32 years old here, I struggle to get quite as excited about things as I did but Prime is a whole heck of a lot better than the japanese imports. It's been dark times from the end of Beast Machines to the beginning of Prime. Though it could still be a lot better. and PRIME, KEEP YOUR GODDAMNED MASK ON, YOU LOOK LIKE A DOUCHE!

I am 23. I watched BW but did not really get into transformers until I read the g1 comics online way back in 2003. Then it became an obsession.
