I actually knew it was gonna be Soundwave, as I'd (unintentionally) read some spoilers before it opened.

 

Well anyone who followed the news here on tfw would have known.

I kind of wish I hadn't known though. It was an awesome scene even though I knew, but it might've been better had I not known. They even thought to remove the Mercedes logo from SW's chest in the Africa scene so as to not give it away.

 

Thankfully i didn't join the boards or ready any TF Blogs until the movie ended. ROTF was ruined for me because of transformers 2 blog so I tried REALLLLLLLLY hard to avoid reading any spoilers for DOTM and i was successful

 

It was one of the only major spoilers I didn't know until I saw the movie. I was legitimately surprised.

Wish it could have been the same for Ironhide's death, Que's death, and Sentinel's betrayal.

I accidentally spoiled Que's death a day before I saw the movie too...adhfdusada

 

always knew it was soundwave (due to the whole is soundwave the mercedes or not discussion that happened prior the movie release

 

I think everyone was spoiled with the whole Sentinel/Ironhide situation thanks to that jerk from Amazon.

But yeah, I was genuinely surprised with Soundwave! When I think back, it shocked me as much as with Caesar's shocker in Rise of the Planet of the Apes! But then again, as soon as I saw that primary spoiler, I quit coming to the online venues.

That DOES sound hard, so I applaud you. I DID manage to avoid the boards for most of that time, but I read all the major news on the front page. I also knew that Starscream was going to be killed by a human. However....

Those things were still all surprises for me, so I was freakin STUNNED when Sentinel betrayed the Autobots. I had a leader class Sentinel Prime, I had that issue from Empire magazine with the two Primes together and everything!

 

Was that scene even in the movie?

At least the misinformation campaign was actually successful this time. Only things that ruined it were that Amazon leak and the adaptions coming out before the movie.

 

Nope, that was never in the movie, since they're battle damaged and together. It was an awesome shot though, and makes me sad that they didn't end up on the same team in the end, although I love the twist in the movie.

Yeah, misinformation is good when it works and actually covers up a cool twist! What is this amazon guy you guys are talking about? What did he say to spoil it?

Sadly, a lot of us already knew Soundwave was the SLS thanks to pre-emptive spoilers thanks to an error made by Hasbro on the TF website.

On a side note, I'm kinda glad I spoiled myself. In doing so, I was able to prep myself for Sentinel's betrayal and the demise of one of my most beloved Autobots at Sentinel's hands...

 

Wasn't it obvious when you saw his form in Africa?

 

Not for me. I knew he would transform into a car, but I didn't know it would be the same car Carly got. I just didn't pay enough attention watching the movie on background details the first time to even note what Soundwave's really looks like.

And also, his Mercedes logo is hidden.

 

I knew because the bumper or hood ornament was on his chest.

 

Well, I knew from the very start that Soundwave was the Mercedes. However, I did not knew that Sentinel was going to betrey the Autobots. When he did and shot Ironhide, it did hit me very hard. I was foiled by the claims that Shockwave was going to be the main villain and not Sentinel. Thanks again Bay, you try to hind these spoliers and you hade failed once again.

I guessed mere seconds before it happened. I also knew a 'First Wave' 'bot was gonna die, but I thought it would be Ratchet!
