How long would it take for the movie Prime to transform from truck to robot unicron trilogy style.
for arguments sake i'll define a unicron trilogy transformation.

    yelling transform
    vibrant colored moving background
almost every different piece transforming one at a time.
talking as if it were happening in real time
    theme song looping in background
    lens flare when eyes activate
awsome pose when fully in robot mode, with autobot symbol replacing moving background

    how long would this take

I'd prefer that style to stick to badly-dubbed Transformers Anime.

I like the movie transformations better.

I just laughed out loud. The idea of movie Prime having such a transformation seq. It would take a good 10 mins, and he would give the entire history of the matrix of leadership and where it originated from during this seq. For obvious reasons, this would not go over well at the box office.

In bold is what I don't like. The rest I actually find amusing.

Don't think Bay would be very fond of it. Besides, the cost to animate that... Paramount could do 1 or 2 more movies.

I don't understand this concept... you don't have to compare. You already know the answer and actually you just mentioned it yourself.

My bad, for a moment I thought you compare the Unicron trilogy transformation sequence with the movie verse.

Given the speed most movie transformations it take place... in the movie i'ld say minimum is 30 seconds - max is around 30 minutes (Depending on if Unicron is introduced and slowly transforms into his robot mode while the Autobots are battling on his surface)

Someone animated the City Commander transformation like this. I did not bother watching the whole video. Took way too long...

Suprisingly when you delve into the idea of Galactus - he apparently has no mortal form and is seen differently depending on who is viewing him - e.g. humans would see humans, sharks would see sharks... etc...

So in some ways it could have worked as a cloud... however, I agree, I would have liked to see a Galactus that looked like the source material.

With Unicron they have already had Cybertron in the sky so a transforming planet is not much of a push - depending on the level of detail.
