I hope it's a while. I'm not really a fan of constant reboots. And the Designs look pretty cool (minus the humans). Anyone know what the storyline is?

My guess The TF Prime cartoon will last at the very least 2-3 years on TV. because TF3 will end & a reboot movie will take a few years to create.

Naw, he understood. I think he was taking a sly jab at Bay's Movies, rather than refering to Prime.

I do agree with you though. Without a new movie on the way, the show won't suffer from the abrupt death that destroyed Animated. (Sob. :(  ) Hopefully they'll let it run as long as it needs to in order to tell it's story, create a full toyline of the cast and to satisfy viewers before it gets so old it jumps the shark. ;)

About a half hour per each episode.

Look at animated it is still getting profit. Why not a 4th season. But the truth is it is more of hasbro plans.

I'm sure they'd like it to run for as long as possible. If the ratings are there they aren't going to cancel it. It's not like they have to worry about their stars jumping ship to start a movie career.

It wasn't profitable. Ratings blew. That's why it was cancelled; not because it was so profitable.

Hopefully a few seasons longer than Animated. TF:p rime has potential, just like Animated did, but this time I hope Hasbro doesn't screw up in the same ways they mishandled Animated (i.e. toys first hitting shelves AFTER the series is well under way)

What profit? The series was canned well before ROTF even hit movie screens/toy shelves. There's not even a Season 3 DVD.

Wasn't it CN that pulled it, from what I remember we were lucky to get season 3, Cartoon Network wanted to pull it after season 2.

There are 26 episodes in season one and another four seasons of Prime have been outlined. I mean, this is Hasbro's channel, they have to have a Transformers cartoon, and it'd be pointless to reboot within a couple of years. Prime is here for the long haul.

Much as I wish it wasn't. :\ But yeah, my money's on a four season minimum, maybe even seven or ten seasons.

And are we really still having debates about whether Animated was a commercial success or not? Really? I would think at this point the absence of any substantial evidence whatsoever would clue people in that there's no way to tell one way or another HOW Animated performed. But hey, whatever. I'm still gonna be pining for season 4 twenty years from now, anyway. :p

Really hard to say since Hasbro owns The Hub so they get to make the rules instead of letting some other network making the rules.

Personally I also hope that it is a very long run. As long as they can work in some new robots here and there to keep the series seeming like a huge universe then it should be interesting to see where a long running show could go.

    Folks:

I figure three or four years, before it gets rebooted, or evolves into something completely different. Kids only play with toys for so long, remember. That's what drives this.

I would say, at a minimum, three seasons before it morphs into something else entirely or gets a complete reboot. I think just about every Transformers series in the past has run that long.
