If you like it, get it! First Edition SS has a better robot mode while the TFP:Rid Voyager has a better jet mode, in my opinion.

I got mine at Ross for 6/7 bucks and I love it.

It's a wonderful deluxe. Great transformation and a bot mode full of character.

Some fans have paid much more than $15 for him and you'd struggle to find any negativity about the toy.

Definitely one of the better Prime Deluxes, and superior to the voyager in everything but vehicle mode in my opinion. Plus no awful piece of crap floppy powerizer weapon.

The good: a truly elegant and precise robot mode. If you're into a character's personality shining through- it's hard to find a better example in any line than this one. If you're not into character- a great deluxe with a killer transformation that looks great in both modes.

The bad: jet mode, while good, looks almost like a scout class in size next to the voyager. Robot mode being very tall and quite lanky doesn't have the steadiest stance.

My verdict: get this one at all costs. Do not be swayed by the less important negatives and instead be aware that what makes this figure unique makes it EXTREMELY unique- and it shines in a way that no other deluxe i can think of shines. Yes, a lot of people of people bought these on discount at ross, however, $15 is a deal for a killer deluxe, and although this one's a subtle killer, it's no doubt a killer.

He's fantastic. Basically got his entire legs as the jet undercarriage, but other than that, fantastic.

I fail to see how the Powerizer weapon is a negative for the PRID figure. It's just an extra. I keep mine on the side. It's not like they include it instead of Starscream's null rays.

^P.S. nice job modding the weapon!

OP, as someone who hasn't watched TF Prime, I really liked Starscream's streamlined design from an aesthetic perspective. So much so, that the PRID Starscream figure was my first TF as an adult collector.

Several months back, there was a long thread (or 2) that compared and contrasted the DELUXE verus PRID/VOYAGER Starscream figures. The key positive for the Deluxe version seemed to be that it fits in scale better with the other TF Prime figures (ex. Megatron). The key positive for the Voyager version is that it has a better, more streamlined jet mode. Honestly, I think those are the major differences.

One of the best TFP figures around and I like it 1000 times over the voyager in the main TFP line.

It's okay. I prefer the Voyager though.
